As I also said in my very first post on the topic, the three are close enough that one could argue that the Braves (or Giants as you've added) have had a better overall rotation than the Phillies this year. I've never even said the Braves are actually definitively better; I simply made the point that it's not beyond the realm of possiblity that they are.

you actually can not argue that they have had a better overall rotation if you look at the facts I posted.

you can only argue that they are close. Phillies numbers are just better at this point in the season.

I prefer the hotties of the LPGA over Women's Bull Dyke soccer.

You know, in a way you are so right.

You get to know the personality first..and then, if you're lucky........

That beats yanking your choke to a photo.

But whatever spins your dial.

And Verlander promptly comes out and has his worst start in months to begin the second half of the season. You're not helping me here, Justin.

Excellent game, have to tip your hat to the Japanese team that twice came back from the edge of defeat to tie it up. US had miserable time in penalty kicks. All in all, it was missed opportunities for US but gotta say, a deserving win for Japan.

MaTH716 07-17-2011 04:29 PM

What an unbelievable game. The US blew leads of 1-0 and then 2-1 in the 2nd OT.
Not to mention the fact that they couldn't finish several chances early in the first half. They let the Japanese hang around and in the shootout the Japanese goalie made several saves. You have to definitely tip your hat to her and the rest of the Japanese squad who looked overmatched much of the game, but hung around to win.

Sidenote: I have to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of womens sports, but this soccer game was so refreshing/enjoyable with the lack of flopping, diving, bitching and moaning. The guys could take a lesson from the girls in this case how a championship game should be played.

declansharbor 07-17-2011 04:34 PM

Let ANY team hang around that long and they will eventually bury you for it. Quite the resilient bunch the Japanese are.

SCUDSBROTHER 07-17-2011 05:06 PM

The 2nd goal by Japan was was well deserved (a very good player stepping up.) The first goal by Japan is the one that shouldn't of happened. That was a big American mistake.

Agreed. That defender sending the ball feebly over the middle? Yikes.

I think what really lost it for them was that each time they got up, they stopped pressing. Instead of attacking, it seemed like they just would clear the ball downfield, and/or keep kicking it out of bounds.

Women's soccer is pretty cool IMO. I rather watch it than mens soccer.

Come to think of it, I think only soccer and tennis are better to watch when women are playing.

Out of the major sports that is.

Agree with all of this. I watched pretty much the entire game in between getting killed at the windows and it was an enjoyable game.
