It's BetCris.com, hockey. I'm sorry I didn't stick around long enough yesterday to see your question, because right now the Derby line is not up at CRIS. It's been up for at least a week-and-a-half straight. It was definitely up when I posted yesterday, because I rechecked Adore The Gold's odds before posting. The odds had been as high as 100-1 a week ago.

Hopefully they'll put the Derby futures back up before the weekend.

Thanks!

The odds at betCRIS.com are back up today, and Adore The Gold is still 83-1.

Also, it looks like CRIS will win my coveted "Taking Bets On A Dead Horse" award for the 2nd year in a row. They are still showing Chace City at 140-1. Last year they won the award by listing With A City for weeks after his death.

As bad as it is to see a dead or injured horse still listed, the consolation is that it probably indicates some cluelessness on CRIS's part with regard to the chances of the actual contenders.

I dont think anyone has established themselfes as a horse to avoid. Thus do whats best for your horse and run conviently at the best purse avaiiable. My opinion about Nobiz is to chalange him now even tho he seems to be the favorite of most and thus bet against. Even tho with his performance thus far he deserves to be the favorite. Usually this time of the year you have strong sentiment for the highest Beyers. Probably get over 30/1 on the 5 highest when the next pool opens.

I just read that CRIS is moving all US-based accounts over to its sister, Bookmaker.com. Same betting platform.

Adore The Gold's future odds have plummeted from 83-1 all the way down to 80-1!

O'neill thinks otherwise

Notional, for instance, won the San Rafael Stakes here in January, traveled to New Orleans to win the Risen Star Stakes on Feb. 10, and will make his next start in either the Florida Derby on March 31 or the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct on April 7.

"Wherever Nobiz Like Shobiz goes, we won't go," Dennis O'Neill said.

Until Derby Day, that is. "

" Like Gorham, O'Neill also showed great respect for Nobiz Like Shobiz, who he is hoping to avoid along the Derby trail.

"He kicked our butts (in the grade I Champagne where Nobiz finished second and Liquidity ran ninth)," he said. "I was standing right next to Barclay. They were so proud of that horse and they should be--he's a beast when you stand next to him. Not only does he have the look, but he has extremely fast numbers. If you can avoid that horse before the big dance, it would be good."
