LA is so spread out!

You might be better off renting a car. Parking at the track isn't too bad.

Good luck!

Staying at the Embassy so I hope a cab will get me there.

Thanks Stick

you're about a mile from the track. i'd walk. it'll probably be faster than a cab.

or there's this from your hotel website if you insist on waiting in traffic:

"Complimentary transportation within a 5-mile hotel radius"

Anybody coming out from the east coast should be very happy. It's suppose to be around 80 degrees every day this week at Santa Anita.

free track shuttle runs to/ from the following hotels:

Embassy Suites
Residence Inn by Marriott
Extended Stay America
Springfield Suites by Marriott
Hampton Inn
Courtyard by Marriott (Monrovia)
Hilton Garden Inn
Doubletree Hotel (Monrovia)

We are staying at the Super 8 in Pasadena. Are any of the shuttle runs near there? How far is the hotel from the track? What is the best way to get from LAX to the hotel? Thanks.

You should ask The Devil for his hotel room. The Super 8 is a Super 86 :D

This may bring up bad memories for Kev?

When we were at CD and Matt M and Aquino declared all Irishmen get their azzes kicked at midnight, at 11:59pm.

We'll always have 'Pat Smulen's' back.

No Irish car bombs please!

I wouldn't fly 14 hours for a free slice of p*ssy, much less to watch some horses run around in circles.

How many DT members ended up coming out to California? Did everyone have a good time?

I'd say I've flown 400+ flying hours this year, so you can probably tell it's something I don't mind doing.

I've completed the Dubai World Cup, July Cup, Breeders' Cup and as long as my flight is on time tonight, I'll do the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday. I'll pretty much fly as many hours as it takes to have an enjoyable time at the track.

Sad? probably...... gotta have an addiction in life, though.

It was my first BC and I had a ball, met some great people, had great seats and the atmosphere was great and it gives me an excuse to visit one of my favourite countries.

Hope to be back again next year.
