Seriously, he sucks, he is on the same level as Michael Worthless, but still 95-96 seems pretty high for him

Devil Rays tried everything possible to lose that game last night, was a great last play, not sure if Fukadome is my homey would have scored on that WP....

I see the Rays a lot more than you NL guys might and they are the real deal. You'll have your hands full the next two nights. And don't try and run on their outfield...great arms

Shhhhhhhh.....

Aw go ahead, he already made the bet. Talk 'em up. Carl Crawford is back off suspension tonight (tell Soto to get his arm loose). The outfield will be back together. Gabe Gross (former Auburn QB) has a cannon in right field. Upton can chuck it too. They all can go get the ball.

The biggest improvement has been with their defense. Thanks to the Twins for taking a malcontent off the Rays hands and giving up a super defensive SS in Bartlett (and Matt Garza too!). Iwamora has taken to second base like a duck to water and Longoria is as solid as they come defensively. The revamped infield has saved a ton of runs this year.

Soto is done for the year, I just got his authentic jersey

I know they are good this year, but you are playing the best team in the majors

That shows you how many Cubs games I've seen this year....1. Their depth chart still lists him as the starter on cubs.mlb.com. I thought they were resting him last night and he'd surely be starting tonight.

You just keep your overconfidence riding high for two more nights. It'll make it even sweeter collecting from you.

Oh, and I fixed that best team thing for you^^^^

Dude, it was more me saying that I have mushed him now that I have his jersey, everything I have touched recently, it has turned to ****, he isn't done for the year, per se

I'm a little slow.

Bigsmc 06-18-2008 01:16 PM

As a side note, I see the Red Sox are rolling over the Phillies again today.

They are on fire. Your Cubbies are going to have to pick it up to keep the best record in baseball.

Sorry for the interruption a question:

I see a "new" baseball stat from what I was used to.

What is 0.1 Innings pitched? It has to be 0.333 repeating
Innings pitched right (with one out)? Or they just use .1, .2 and .3 and then
you are back to the whole, in other words a base 3 number system
instead of base 10?

I was used to 1/3 or 2 2/3 Innings pitched.

Have I screwed this all up?

right? ... when you calculate ERA based on 9 innings. So you gotta use the fractions 1/3 or .333 repeating for outs.

See that is sucky as the anitquated tote board system. Everything based on two dollars, or one dollar depending on what you are looking at, and the the mighty .20 payoff system and oh we can never have odds of 11/3 because Americans dont get fractions.

BTW: has anyone ever seen anything like 11/7? I dont think I have ever seen an 7 as a denominator...

Americans are fine with a 2 as a denominator 9/2 but dont dare put 9/4. Why is it there are some fractions we never see in American racing? Come to think of it I hardly ever see a 3 in the denominator.

So I will review denominators and will humbly ask the board for corrections.

2 fine
3 cant handle (1/3...?)
4 cant handle (1/4? i guess 2/5 is close enough for us?)
5 fine for a numerator of (1,2,3,4 or 9)
6 cant handle
7 cant handle
8 cant handle
9 fine only in 1/9

You're pretty safe now.

They just said, Howell and Percival are not available tonight, so your boys should work what is left of the bullpen over.

Shields has an awesome variety of pitches....

Bigsmc 06-19-2008 08:18 PM

Like I said....

Not much in the Rays bullpen past Howell and Percival.

Give up a homer here and bring in Fukadome to pitch

Scav 06-19-2008 08:41 PM

Oh we got an out

Scav 06-19-2008 08:42 PM

The Cubs are like Big Brown, they are SPENT!! All this talk about how well they are doing, yadda yadda, and they get swept by the Rays. Hopefully they get swept this weekend also so maybe they will wake up

Scav 06-19-2008 08:53 PM

Your down 5 and get called out on strikes, and then bitch about it.

It is just as bad or worse when the Yankees and Red Sox come to town.
