As of right now I would say that we are doubtful to run Rampillion since her foot is not healing as quickly as I hoped. There is a chance that Kickin n Screamin can make a race on the 23rd.

Life is to important !!
I'll have to pass on AC, I value my life more:eek: I swore 12 yrs ago I would not go back to AC.... nice try Dee Tee. If grass is what you want, a long stretch & wide sweeping turns of Colonial Downs is where you want to be. Virginia is for Horse :{>:r's

What was/is the problem with Atlantic City. I've never been. |
don't know anything about it either other than through the Louis Malle flick Atlantic City and uh Beaches with Bette Midler :zz: was taken on a family vacation to Ocean City back in the day by my Auntie and Uncle who lived in Pennsylvania at the time -do remember the boardwalk, as a little kid from the midwest who had to swim in yucky lakes, yes, was impressed...

i am in no question

Hope all is well... Latest thoughts from Chuck on Atlantic City is April 24 for Kickin N Screamin. It doesn't look right now like Rampillion's quarter grab is healing fast enough for her to be ready for the 17th. |
Would be back from Florida for 24th :D

A can't miss for all visitors IMO. Still dont know which is better, the food or the history. My parents make the out-of-the way trip mostly every time they leave Ocean City for Philly to stop and pick up some White House rolls from the bakery they use a block away. Cheesteak hoagie is my recommendation. |
I'm in if it's the 24th.

Declan,
Your parentsdont have to go into AC anymore to get the rolls. If they stay in OC- Formica's opened a cafe in Northfield and they sell them there, as well as food stores in SP, etc. surrounding towns. |

24th is my birthday so who knows. I might still make the trip down. Don't think I can go for the 23rd though as it is doubtful I could get both Thursday and Friday off. Of course if I explain to my boss I have a horse running at Atlantic City and it's my birthday there is a reasonable shot. Too bad we couldn't make the 17th, I was 100% there and already had the day off.

Good news and bad news.
Good news, AC will be simulcasted. Bad news, still no ADWs. http://www.drf.com/news/article/102970.html |
When will they draw Thursday & Friday's races?
|
You mean next Thurs/Fri? Next Thurs gets drawn Sunday I believe. Friday drawn on Monday.

News About AC Race Track
Atlantic City Racetrack Opens Thursday, April 16th.
Atlantic City Racecourse kicks off its annual six day “Jersey Turf Festival.” on Thursday. Each of the next three weeks, the Mays Landing track will conduct live racing on Thursday and Friday with six races to be run each day with a new first post time of 3:30 PM. As in the past, all the races will be run on the beautiful turf course at Atlantic City, something that has led to nice, big fields of extremely competitive racing. The turf course this year celebrates its 61st anniversary. The centerpiece of the six day meeting will be the $50,000-added Tony Gatto Dream Big Stakes. The race named in memory of the longtime, beloved Plant Supervisor at A.C. was first contested in 2006 and will again be run this year at five furlongs. The Gatto will be the feature on closing day, May 1st. Racing fans will have larger betting pools to bet into this year. For the first time in 10 years, the signal will be simulcast to other facilities. In previous years, the races could only be bet in person at Atlantic City. Philadelphia Park patrons will be able to watch and wager the Atlantic City races at their favorite Turf Club, the Racetrack or with Philadelphia Park Phonebet. Also for the first time, food and beverage sales during the six day meet will benefit Oakcrest High School Marching Ambassadors. The Hooters Girls will also make an appearance. They will be at the track on Friday, April 24th. Post time this year for all six days is 3:30 PM. Local Comcast customers can watch the races on PhonebetTV. Please be advised that PhonebetTV has been moved to Comcast channel 716. Regards, vprtdo |
