Well...still a couple preps left. I haven't seen much to get me excited yet, maybe next weekend.

SCUDSBROTHER 04-09-2011 07:38 PM

LOL...Gary Stevens corrects himself a great deal.

Yeah. One took up real bad in the early part of the race, the other is trained by Harty and didn't run a step.

Good to see that the only Randallscott35 showed his intelligence limitations.

I thought the result of the Santa Anita Derby made a lot of sense (tried to tell peole on the Jaycito injury thread yesterday);)

Your mother said something like that to me the other night after we were done, when I'd asked about your dad.

If Joe Talamo is ever let anywhere near Caracortado again Mike Machowsky should fire himself as trainer.

LOL, just be happy you had Mo to show today. :D

In fairness, you suggested a wire to wire win by midnight interlude was possible, as he would be alone on the lead. That's not how the race unfolded.

Oh, I know. Naturally, I could care less now how he won. Let's face it, it's just one correct hunch(I almost retracted the wager when I saw the DRF pp's and his low Beyers; it was somewhat of a gut call due to the way things played out in the 48 hrs before the race) among other losses. I'm just reacting to some perceptions I have when some others here bet or tout a horse to win, and then watch the excuses come forth when the horse loses. How about saying, I was wrong?

It's not a big deal, I didn't bet much, but it did make more than a bit of sense. And he overcame some adversity to do it

He'd look nice in the Met Mile.

By a pure sprinting son of IC, no less!

I really don't understand how anyone can play Santa Anita. The only angle that horse had going for him is that he was trained by Baffert. It's no better than Rudy Rodriguez sweeping stakes left and right at Aqueduct, which doesn't actually happen.

So much for Silver Medallion. Ryan knew he wasn't a dirt horse, and made a nice majority sale prior to the undoing. Love pin hookers.:)
