Yea, Cubs, Red Sox, Yanks, and Mets. Those are the 4 teams who's fans invade your house (like maggots invading perfectly good fruit.) It just shows you the number of geographical whores in this country. Why don't they go live where they really want to live? You shouldn't have the fkn place errupt with glee when another city's team makes a play. You feel that strongly, then go back to that city. Get the fck out. Shouldn't that naturally happen?
I am not saying it's wrong to have opposing fans in the yard, but it has gotten sick when these 4 teams are on the road. Greedy bitches should take less money, and live where they really want to live.

Oh, you just don't know how popular they are in the Latino community. Bleachers are particularly popular with them, but they also are willing to pay for the overpriced tickets too. I can confidently say over half the fans that are at the games are Latino. The team isn't any good, but there is no lack of fans. If anyone should be bitter, it's the suffering Cub fans. We had our glory years, but not the CUBS. I can see the attraction to the other teams (ring winners.) The Cub thing is a co-dependency problem. Didn't Chuck say they are sickos?

The bandwagoners are everywhere.

When the Red Wings come to town, half the arena is red. The Tigers or Lions come to town....crickets.

When the Cowboys come to town, they come out of the woodwork. The Stars or Rangers come to town...crickets.

The Raiders come to town, Raider Nation is out in full force. The A's or Sharks come to town....crickets.

The only fans I would say are not bandwagoners, are the New York fans. They come out for the Yankess, Mets, Giants, Jets and Rangers no matter how bad the team is.

I just saw a kid today with a brand new Celtic's Jersey with Pierce on the back. He will be killed in a matter on seconds if he goes to the West Side of this town.

SCAV, if you are ever gunna get over the top, then you need to get a starter that can get some pressure off your offense. That's the type of offense you have(the type that will do much better if they can pile on.) Even if Zambrano is o.k., you need to rent somebody (and hope they get hot for you.) Lowe can't lose right now:rolleyes: . What do ya have for us?:D

Half the people in LA are latinos, why is this a surprise?

Cub's fans in general seem to have a touch of self loathing from all the losing...

It's always been a heavily Latino area, but they didn't come to the games in these numbers. I think when they started showing all the home games on T.V., they made a huge effort to gain Latino fans. They seem to know that the Latinos were more apt to actually go to the stadium (instead of just watch it on T.V.) They seem less apt to care if the team is good (I mean they will show up regardless.) That's how they have stayed popular (despite the poor product they sell.) So, Scav is correct to think we should have fewer fans now, but the reality is they have cleverly been able to overcome the poor play of the team. That's one of the reasons we don't get better (don't have to.)

Bigs, I'm not sure it is all bandwagon fans......I think it has a lot to do with ticket availability and cost. The Yankees and Red Sox ticket prices are outrageous and tickets are almost impossible to get without going to a scalper. It is cheaper to go to Baltimore or Tampa and make a weekend out of it than pay $200 a ticket for box seats.

Same thing with certain football and hockey teams. It is very difficult to get a Redskin or Steeler ticket in the home city but pretty easy to go see a game in Atlanta or Buffalo.

Could be, but a majority of the "fans" of opposing teams I see down here are locals.

We have a phenomenon here where fans support the local teams until their bandwagon team comes to town and suddenly they switch colors. I didn't know the dude that sits next to me every week for the Bucs game was really a Cowboys "fan" until the Cowboys came to town and his jersey changed for one week.
