I am one of the veterinarian advisors for ReRun NJ. Keep me posted I can see if we can find Aleb a place in the new farm they have down in New Egypt NJ during her rehab. While she is there I can keep an eye on her as well. Once she is recovered they have a very good adoption program where they are strict on who is allowed to adopt and then they keep tight tabs on the horses that get adopted and make sure they are always taken care of properly.

This farm is beautiful, used to be Stanly Dancer's (of Standardbred superstardom) farm and now ReRun NJ has the fulll lease of the place. alot of acres.

Egypt Acres? Didn't they have a 5/8th track there that they used to run NJSS fair races?

What does Rerun charge these days for taking a donated horse?

Funny but sad...Donated and charged in the same sentence.. More importantly, your question is a valid one.

I will check it out.

They have fund where you can "sponsor" a horse until it is adopted, ie all the money goes just to that horse.

If she is there, it is not too far form where I live and I will take care of all her vet care myself.

Funny this came up... ReRun's Felice Busto a guest tonight on ATR. Their 'Moneigh' sale on Ebay starts this week.

awesome just found the perfect 'gift'(s) for my neice, a young horse lover who aspires to be a jockey and will be taller than me by 8th grade. She'll make a better 'fill-in-the-blank' anyway.......

My first real job in journalism was with the Oneida Daily Dispatch where I covered Vernon Downs. I got to interview harness breeder/owner Harry Hogan when his Lakewater Star won a few stakes at Meadowlands. Niatross was raised at his farm and turned out for winter there. As I've said on ATR, Niatross was something to see in person. He had the 'Look of the Eagle' as they say of Champion racehorses. An awesome physical presence.

If I could claim a horse it would be Tally Up, who is in the 6th at CD for 7,500. He is a little, red, speedy closer.
