Yes, and it's depressing because I've loved this horse since the beginning of the year and the likelihood is that after the BC, he'll go to SA and we'll never hear from him again. It almost makes me not care about how he does in these 2 races.

Per DRF, Races 5 and 11 have been taken off the turf.

Well, I still don't think Girolamo is a sprinter, but I'm very glad he got his grade 1 - even though this was a very weak field. I'd prefer to see him in the Mile, but I don't think that's happening.

What's your problem? Seriously - you didn't understand what I said? Do I need to spell it out for you? Apparently so.

I understood what you said. It makes no sense. It's okay for you to be wrong about an AP Indy horse. We're all wrong sometimes.

He's a sprinter that can stretch out to a mile. The sprint division is really bad this year and he'll probably be 3rd choice at worst in the BC Sprint. He's running in the right races.

Did you think he was a sprinter coming into this year? I didn't. We've never seen him go long, so it's hard to say if he could or not; he was thrown to the wolves in the BC Classic on synthetics no less, so I couldn't judge him off that. Clearly he wasn't going to go long this year, so I assumed the Mile was right up his alley.

At this point, the Sprint is where he's going, so I'll have to accept that - and he does have a good shot.

They already have Gayego for the mile correct? I criticize their moves a lot, but right now this seems like it was the right move.

Does Paddy really want a piece of this slow boggy turf course against older horses and 12 furlongs? I will play telling bearpath and winchester

if he ran in last years classic, then you have seen him go long. they have horses for other races, they tried him here to see if he'd go sprinting. he did and will attempt the bc sprint. he just won a gr 1 sprinting, what's not to like? your logic is questionable. it makes no sense to complain about a horse entering a race, but saying you think he could win-which is what you posed previously. gr 1's don't grow on trees. now you say you don't like him going in the sprint, while saying he has a good shot. again, no logic there.

They do have a lot of the same types of horses: Gayego, Vineyard Haven, Regal Ransom...............

He won, so I guess it was the right move.............In any case, although I guess I don't sound it, I am thrilled that he won. I hope he runs next year........

I can't argue with you and I am very happy that he won a grade 1, so that supercedes any doubts I had or have.

Clearly the way they flew home shows that the turf was really firm, not yielding.

Or was it yielding, but with firm results?

Or was it yieldingly firm?

Maybe it was firm but with a tiny bit of wetness.

I wish someone could explain this stuff to me.

Bleh.

The results made sense and were fairly predictable, especially knowing how retarded jocks are.

I thought Blame ran a pretty nice race all things considered.

Didn't they hit 6 in 113.4 or something around there?

You should be happy that Blame lost, as this makes it FAR more likely that Z will run in the BCC now.

I agree also. I thought Fly Down ran sneaky good too.

It just wasn't a very fun race to watch.

He did. I would be far from surprised if he gets a piece in the Classic.

I thought it kinda was.

I've always been a bit of a fan of both Winchester and Haynesfield, so it was kind of neat to see them live up to, at least a little, what I thought they could do.

Winchester especially. I thought he was going to be a top horse after his win in the Secretariat. That seemed like five years ago.

I also thought Haynesfield might make some noise in the TC races last year. I was a bit off on that one.

My favorite type of horse is a fast one that is given an easy lead!
