The core of criticism of LeBron is about his lack of aggression. Last night from the start he was aggressive and after the first quarter you knew they were going to win. He wasn't looking to pass first.

We'll see if that's how he'll play the rest of the playoffs. Doubtful. He's not particularly consistent.

You have a pretty short memory. Last year you were beating the same drum and I recall even you admitting he disappeared in the finals.

Hey, at least PG1985 agrees with you. He's known for his strong opinion on virtually everything.

I did admit that he disappeared in the finals. He was far below his norm. Could happen again this year. We'll see. I have seen two games in these playoffs so far that Miami HAD to have, game four against Indiana and last night. He had 40-18-9 in the first one and 45-15-5 last night. I look at the last two times he was eliminated by Boston. In 2008 he scored 45 in game seven and in 2010 he had 27-19-10. To call that disappearing in the clutch is like saying Alydar ran a losing race in the Belmont.

Coach Pants 06-08-2012 07:20 AM

Well yeah I don't think anyone is saying he chokes all of the time. It's just that his chokes far outweigh non-elimination games like this one.

I'm not the NBA history buff like some of you but I do recall it's tough to have back to back monster games in the playoffs. Even Jordan had difficulty with it.

So what we all need to do is calm down. Let Skip and Screamin' provide the theatrics.

And lets be objective here and agree that the Celtics have no legs left. Watch KG last night. It's kind of sad how much speed he's lost.

But hey...LeBron had a terrific game. He took Pierce completely out of the game early.

Ok lets be objective....
Rondo is like 26. And they have 4 Hall of Famers.

Bass is 27 and looks like a 45 year old construction worker. Ray Allen has been around since Brooks was still giving residual checks to Dominique Wilkins.

Come on, dummy.

Dahoss 06-08-2012 10:57 AM

Who is the 4th hall of famer on the Celtics? Rondo?

Bit premature, no?

Im not a dummy. I know my hoops. I have a parlay on sportsinteraction.com from September. OKC and Miami to meet in the finals. Lebron will not be defeated this year. 45 and 15 bra.

That's like bragging about having a parlay that Nadal and Djokovic meet in the French Open final and you hedge with Nadal/Federer.

GTFO

Actually not really. The parlay came out to 6.4-1.
Whatever though. Goodluck this weekend man.

I thought that James played pretty well in these last two must-win games. Didn't fade in the moment at all. Continued where he left off in the Indiana series, especially game four when down 2-1 and he came up with 40-18-9. I almost wish the Heat had lost to Boston though. Personally, I think Boston was the better team but at least the two teams were close so if James would have lost this series, as brilliantly as he played throughout it, I would have at least understood the criticism that would have come his way. Now that they are in the finals, I think OKC is decidedly better as a team than Miami and no matter how well James plays, Miami is going to lose and he's going to be blamed. He could score 50 a game and everyone will blame him.

Coach Pants 06-10-2012 08:58 AM

Cause he's an *******.

Excellent hedge. Now, if he does disappear you can say I told you so. If he plays well, you'll also be right.

LeBron James has played in 4 conference finals in his career and has turned in otherworldly performances in all 4. He's not been perfect in the postseason for sure and had 3 terrible games in the finals to close it out last year, but a really good post season player. He led a team to the finals that started a backcourt of Sasha Pavlovic (12th man on Boston this year) and Larry Hughes. Last time Kobe had talent like that with him he demanded a trade from the Lakers. It is what it is. The logo nor Oscar Robertson could win titles either...the logo couldn't win one with Elgin Baylor until Wilt joined up and Robertson couldn't til he got to Milwaukee with Kareem. That said he went to Miami to win titles and if he doesn't he deserves every bit of criticism he gets.

cmorioles 06-10-2012 03:13 PM

If he is going to win one with that team, he better do it now. The Heat had what should have been a cakewalk to the finals. Wade looks older than his years a lot of the time and isn't getting any younger.

The Thunder aren't going anywhere any time soon and will only get better. The Bulls will be back. Who knows where Deron Williams and Dwight Howard will go, but it won't be to teams that aren't contenders.

Cannon Shell 06-10-2012 03:14 PM

OKC in 6

I'd say 5 but I figure Mr Stern will make sure they get at least 6 in. OKC will have at least one bad shooting night and Joey Crawford will take care of another.

Though after watching the fight/decision last night nothing in sports would surprise me anymore.

I'm not sure he can land both. I thought Williams was a lock, but I'm not sure of that any longer either.

Interesting how some contracts will be much more valuable under the new agreement
