we do frequent a longhorn steakhouse about an hour away, but i couldn't tell you the last time i went to red lobster. it's been years. we have good seafood restaurants nearby, i'd rather go to one of them than a chain restaurant.

you sound like my husband. he bought multi-grain topper crackers, loves them. they stopped making them. he had several boxes he'd hoarded...still has one or two boxes left. i said for gods sakes, eat the damn things before they go stale.

:D:D..I like him:tro:
My two sisters, one in OH and one in PA ordered a dozen packs of the pretzels from Snyders and they shipped direct from the factory to me about week ago...that's enough till next Christmas..:$:

Danzig 12-26-2013 03:24 PM

he loves a candy called 'goldbrick eggs'. only available at easter. i don't know how many boxes we have, but he's probably got enough to last til easter 2015.

SeaWorld to phase out killer whale show

http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/...er-whale-show/

At least it's something. Someday, if we keep the pressure up, here's hoping they EMPTY THE TANKS.

I don't think heart-numbing is a word, but...

Just disgraceful.

God forbid they ever do the right thing.

It is desperately sad.

Great white shark dies days after being put in Japanese aquarium in 'cruel and wrong' case of captivity

From the slave owners at Sea World...

We are saddened to report that over the past few weeks, Tilikum's behavior has become increasingly lethargic, and the SeaWorld veterinary and animal care teams are concerned that his health is beginning to deteriorate.

a great white has never been successfully kept. I know Monterey bay went to extraordinary lengths to create a tank to hold one-and still, it didn't work. they will no longer even try, with the current attempts to get the great whites listed on the endangered species list.

As we learn from new info, we are supposed to act accordingly.
I suggest sea world get ahead of this. Because right now, theyre just digging in, and will ultimately fail if they do not adapt.
They might want to read their darwin...

Danzig 03-17-2016 10:27 AM

In a way, sea world became a victim of its own success. By allowing access to animals like orcas, and educating people, those people learned how important these animals are, and that they should be protected, rather than displayed and made into entertainment.

it kills me the misinformation out there about animals...that rhino horn is an aphrodisiac, or has healing properties-you might as well chew on your own hair or fingernails, because it's keratin-same as rhino horn. idiots. and then there's shark fin soup...idiots.
