Still working! I didn't know that. Well, his ad was lovely and generated buzz. Can't wait to go to their open house (Nov? Dec?) and check things out if he's there. :D

"Uphill" simly means the withers (top of the shoulders) are higher than the croup (top point of the hindquarters). Top that all off w/ an arched neck and a small head... you've got girls swooning. ;)

i automatically sneer at a horse with a high croup--not to me liking at all. but then i don't like really high, pronounced withers either.
i think vicar is a beauty. anyone else??

All of these high quality high dollar sires. I havent looked but I would wager that at least 20 of the entries in the next card
at Penn will have Storm Cat , Unbridled, Phone Trick, etc in there blood line. Lotta oney for a 5k claimer.

I believe VICAR is off to an overseas breeding shed.

Vicar is a bit buck-kneed for my liking, but overall, built very solid and correct.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO weird that you say that.

Just yesterday I saw his pic and decided he was was one of the most beautiful stallions I've seen.

Darby Dan: http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/isd...ion_no=4037186

i look for him in the darby dan ads each week when bloodhorse gets here...weird, huh? also look on the inside front for arch! lol go figure....
and then i turn to the back and sneer at birdstone and tapit when they're there!! lol
and then of course the inside back cover. distorted humor, another i like! i thought their ad for bluegrass cat after he won the haskell was very original.

I hate the way they do the Gainesway ads - did you SEE Mr. Greeley slapped onto that green & red logo???? w/ the grass not really fixed around his feet??? :( The BG cat ones were good, but i think they got bad karma by starting the "pawprint" campaign the week b4 he turned up injured and was retired...

Sightseek 10-05-2006 06:36 AM

Reading all of these threads about polytrack, made me laugh when I read the Stallion ads for Stonewall about how their sires are PERFECT for Polytrack and you better start breeding for it now for it is the future....

Yeah, didn't seem to obvious the announcement was coming, huh?

Best Stallion Ad, is the one with Mineshaft running through the paddock...it reminds me of when I was little and couldn't wait to see the next Horse Illustrated centerfold.
