Which 14 will run in the BCC?

It is getting very crowded in the Breeders' Cup Classic waiting room.

Sightseek 10-16-2006 03:56 PM

I was thinking that too. Of the Pletcher trainees who will get in? FA or Lawyer Ron...I thought LR was transferred to him FOR the BCC? Probables:

Bernie
Lava Man
Perfect Drift
FA
Lawyer Ron
Giacomo
Bro Derek
It's No Joke (seriously, I think I read that somewhere)
David Junior
George Washington
Invasor
Sun King
Super Frolic
Strong Contender

This is really great news. A full field will give Bernadini ample chance to encounter challenges or a less than perfect trip.
Noone will be able to say he never faced a full field or adversity.
Then we can get our answer as to how good he is.

I worry about Lava Man and Invasor, otherwise Bern is a stone cold lock....That being said, I have heard some sheet players talking about Brother Derek cycling back, also a couple that think Strong Contender might be a live longshot if he can get back to his huge number a couple races back

Biggest shots in my opinion are LM, Invasor & David Junior.

This could turn out to be an outstanding race. Looks like it will produce honest fractions up front and that there will be horses around at the finish also.

It will be interesting to see how Bernardini does down the stretch in this race. He certainly won't get away with :25, :48, and nearly 1:13 (Travers). Lots of traffic in this one.

If Bernardini wins, I'll give him all the credit he's due. But he's looking even more like a bet against at this point.

Agree with every word you just wrote, down to the letter.

Bernardini closed in the Preakness and his other races, I am far from worried about him rating mid pack, or even closing...I do worry about him looking Lava Man in the eye though, I LOVE THE FACT that they shipped him so early. His last race was crazy impressive, Corey just leaves when he wants with him, it is quite amazing. I honestly have tried to beat that horse in every race this year and he has finally won me over, as a fan...doesn't mean I am playing him though becase I am probably still singling Bernardini

i have already decided how i am going to bet this race and i think i have a good shot at hitting the trifecta.
tell me what you think.

bernardini - all - perfect drift

Not a bad wager...While I find it hilarious when people key horses in 3rd, PD is the perfect horse to do it

Smart move on the part of Lava Man's connections to ship early and train on the poly.

exactly! i can't think of another horse in the last 10 years that i would key in 3rd but with perfect drift, what else do you do?

oracle80 10-16-2006 04:24 PM

all/Sun King/all

all/all/ Sun King

win bet on Sun King to cover the action

on a day like this, I only play pick threes, I am not usually a tri player.....this is one of the only days where I can deposit $600 and play $1 pick three tickets 5x5x5 and make money on the day. I normally play $25 pick threes 1x2x2. My goal is always hitting one ticket, and I double my money

There might be some races where I will play some exacta boxes and some exactas where I play three horses then all, such a hard day that you really need to spread.

Ditto Brother Derek.

TG wise I have heard that he has run in the neg-3 range and that his last race pointed towards him running huge. I am still new at pattern reading but the person I heard this from is a highly respected handicapper at Arlington. he will be real long so I will probably be using on a $1 pick three saver or something.

Rag wise, I would think that you are right on with the '0' saying though, TG wise I am thinking neg4ish
