The Browns...won?
Is this true? But the Indians are proving to be snake bit as well as fairly awful. The Cavaliers are interviewing witnesses and boy what if CourtInSessions is the one?All they would then need is a guy named Darden. Ohio State is fair game here, too. roll Buckeyes!! |
I think we're back to 1977. I think 1977 through 1984 was the all time worst period. All 3 teams stunk the entire 8 years wiith the only exception the Red Right 88 season for the Browns. The Browns and Cavs started getting respectable in the late 80s....then the Indians in the early 90s. All 3 stink right now and could for quite a while. '77 through '84 was 8 years with one division combined and zero post season wins for all 3.

Nothing like the old days, aye HC?
Tribe win 'um today. Score many runs....chase tail after game. Actually...I'm doing this because I am so sick of Phily Phans. |
clyde: it appears you have your "Monday" face avatar up!
|
....huh??...

We're like Cleveland if Cleveland just got lucky once. Nevermind, we really are nothing like Cleveland! |
Really...do you mind?
|
We have a South Korean in right field.
And Carlos Santana as the catcher. You really can't make this stuff up. |

Know what you mean..strictly playing the name game.
Choo already is better than most right fielders today. |
The tribe lost the first game of a crucial 3 gamer with the Royals. They must now win the next two to have any chance of nailing down that 12th play off spot.
|
I'd like to see Randy Moss in a Browns jersey.
|
You said it!!
We would then have the best defense to go with the best offense and kicking game in the whole wide world! We'd have the best 12th man, too!! |

Oh.
Phooey. |
In other news in the hot sports scene here.....
...well---there isn't any. |
Bernie Kosar vs. Brad Daugherty in a game of left-handed Ping-Pong....
Who you got? |
Daugherty would would beat him silly with rebel yells.
|
Sandy Alomar Jr. vs. Ozzie Newsome in clay pigeon shooting....
|
For those of you not playing along at home---Daugherty wasn't exactly the big fave of American Negroes here in Cleveland.
He was looked at as a huge crackah for his love of....yeech!!...NASCAR. I couldn't blame them one bit, basketball talent aside. You can't fool the Black people here...Trivisano. |
Quote:
Newsome was Gruesome, but Alomar was Alydar. Sandy in a close one. |
Mahjiragah ( ah dunno)...you certainly know your Cleveland sporty stuff.
|
Final matchup on today's card:
Danny Ferry vs Travis Hafner in war (the card game). |
Ferry finally wins something.
Hafner couldn't beat his own contract, let alone a human. |
I'd like to see Thebby in a Cavs jersey.
|
!!...fr&l-a!!
You should be in the same jersey. |
At least the Indians are the youngest team in baseball.
I think the average age is something like 5 or 6. |
Going to turn the radio on and see how the tribe is doing tonight.
Join me, won't you? Never mind. |
Tribe comes back to win um game!!
war drums!!...war drums!! |

Yeah, those Cav late 80s, early 90s teams were hilarious. Daugherty and his NASCAR and number 43 jersey in honor of Richard Petty, Larry Nance and his insatiable love and participating in drag racing, and adorable Mark Price feeding them all night long. They were pretty good when they were all healthy which was hardly ever. |
Quote:
Had forgot about the 43. Was thinking the same thing.3 teams worse than us and we lose 2 of 3 to each. But that Cavaliers team..injuries---some. No guts...mostly. Daugherty was an admirable center, but "a-yuk'ed" too much. |
The "shot" year they were challenging for the 1 seed with Detroit and Mahorn punched Price in the head and he had post concussion symptoms the rest of the year and they faltered and Price even missed game 1 of the Chicago series which is often overlooked and pretty critical in a 5 game series, and they were down from the get go and still could have won the series. The next two years Price one year and Daugherty the next missed massive amounts of time in '90 and '91. They were both healthy again in '92 and went to the eastern finals. They signed the "Jordan stopper" in '93 (Gerald Wilkins) and that didn't work so well and by '94 Daugherty's back was kaput and he was done and so was that particular team. I think that team had guts. They just weren't as good as Detroit who they would have lost to even if "the shot" wasn't made and then Chicago. They were an easy team to pull for however.
|
OK...I am not going to replay the James discussion.
They won 57 twice and 54 once. You are right, there were injuries in other years.....but the hallmark of this team was that it was very, very good----and very.very soft. Let's about Johnny Killbane,Jimmy Bivins,Joey Maxim and Shondor Burns. |

Bingo Smith....a playa!

The Early Years were the best years. You better get back to your illegal bait n' switch game before the federalis find it. |
Well the Tribe lost a real nail filer tonight.
