If he runs? Tagg has already said he will be entered but could be scratched

Bonnie Blug Flag the same-she is entered in Cotillion and Beldame. Also no DMC???

Sightseek 09-29-2010 01:39 PM

DMC didn't work to Pletcher's liking.

Also came out Monday from one of the Greathouses that Devil May Care has a liver imbalance that will keep her sidelined through the preps.

Worst edition of the Vosburgh is recent memory...

Apparently no more overnight NY bred stakes for DBS to run in so he ends up here.

pba1817 09-29-2010 01:55 PM

Probably the chalk too..

Dahoss 09-29-2010 02:01 PM

Looks like an okay betting race though.

Honestly they all look like okay betting races. Beldame could be a little light bet wise but if all 6 go,it should be ALOT better than the Cotillion

Indian Charlie 09-29-2010 02:12 PM

Go Ploddy slO' Prado!!!!

my miss storm cat 09-29-2010 02:17 PM

I'm sure he wil lumber around for the victory here. He is lucky there are no Candy's in the race.

I like Strike a Deal to win in here. Don't think Paddy is quite as good if they both run well.

Clip-Clop 09-29-2010 02:23 PM

Very interested to see what LAT has left after tangling with RA. Actually almost all those horses went toe to toe this year.

I think the point has been made. You like Twirling Candy. We get it. Are you a fan of Randy Moss also?

Actually, running in the Vosburgh allows him to avoid Endless Circle on Friday.

Why? Which one of the Candy's is likely to get 12F on an "off" turf course?

Actually Sidneys Candy would be better fit for here on the turf. Yes I do like Twirling Candy and am anxious to see how he does in the Goodwood this weekend. As for Randy Moss I have no beef with him. Seems like an okay guy.

I think Sidney can get the distance but the off turf may be an issue. Doesn't matter as he is not there.

I rather read another one of your sports threads than watch whatever that is.

What do you think are fair odds on him in the classic right now?

hockey2315 09-29-2010 05:09 PM

P.S. I may have been slightly wrong about the bettability of a few of these races. . . Luckily the quality was worse than I expected, mainly because of RA being gone.

Sidney's Candy would need a bus ticket to get 12 furlongs on any surface.

How about on either of the the SAR turf courses of the past meet? And, with the same group of riders.

slotdirt 09-30-2010 04:26 AM

That Beldame is like a who's who of horses that unexpectedly beat Rachel this year. Where's Zardana when you need her?

They did beat her, but have had little since. Where is Zardana period?

blackthroatedwind 09-30-2010 10:17 AM

Unrivaled Belle is a cinch in the Beldame.

No love for BBF? Or is she going to Parx?

I don't think it matters where she goes, she's not very good.

Scav 09-30-2010 03:20 PM

Is it safe to say that the turf courses will be good/yielding because of the rain?

If so, I think Never On Sunday for Biancone has a chance at 12/1.

Who are some that actually like it soft/yielding?

hockey2315 09-30-2010 04:00 PM

I think Ave's intriguing on soft ground and the Japanese filly, who should kill these by 10 on paper, is suspect over it.

That is what I was thinking in regards to the Red Desire, still think she is a must use but saving with Changing Skies (3 good performances over a cut in ground) and Keertana (always shows up).

Shared Account is also a horse that has excelled with give in the ground.

For the Joe Hirsch, I think the 1 Grassy (Gomez aboard after just winning on Telling), 2 Never on Sunday (won G1 at Longchamp on soft going), Paddy o' Prado (not keen but was looking for a fourth horse) and Winchester are the horses for me.

I will play Never on Sunday Win/Place as he would be my bet of the day if he goes off at >10/1
