Very excited to see Dialed In run to see if he is the real deal...looks to be working like a monster, his maiden was very impressive, lets see how he runs against winners.

I really like R Heat Lightning cutting back to what will probably prove to be her best distance. I'll probably play her to win here, and with several of the others in here exiting visually impressive stakes wins, I hope the price will be decent. This is a pretty interesting race.

Couldn't agree more. Love heat here.

I didn't see the race, but from another board: Pomeroy's Pistol finished 1st, "Dancing" 2nd and Evil Queen 3rd - R Heat Lightning 4th

Leperoux went about 8-wide with "Dancing" and just had two much work to do, but still finished strong. Credit to Pomeroy's Pistol, though. Ran some quick fractions and still hung on

Now that John Ward has gotten a start with Dancinginherdreams out of the way he announced that she's on target for her next start, the 2012 Spinster.

Anyone remember Miss Doolittle's race on opening day at Saratoga in 2000 Schylerville? She was a nutjob.

Did I read earlier this week that John Ward made one of those " best horse I ever trained " comments?

If so, he should be ashamed. Beautiful Pleasure, as a 2YO, would have lapped this horse.

Wow, if that's the case then it's just stupid. Dancinginherdreams is a nice horse but as of now she's all hype. Those crows she beat in Kentucky are worthless and even though her trip was not ideal today the horse she lost to could be in for a tag by August.

As of now her 3YO filly competition isn't too strong, and she can improve, but I don't buy the hype. She had the whole stretch to run down the winner, who was involved in a pretty contentious pace, and barely gained in the final sixteenth.

Doesnt that indirectly suggest that Dailed In was very good?

The 3YO fillies on the east coast are awful and that will certainly help. I was thrilled to hear Royal Delta is fine and back in training because her one maiden race was more impressive than any race Dancinginherdreams has run.

You might already know - but the raw pace fractions are very slow at GP going one-mile because of the run-up.

The Forward Gal pace was very strong - but the relationship between the two sets of fractions is a lot different than it is as most tracks.

Still - of course Dialed In ran another very good one.

Betsy 01-30-2011 07:15 PM

I love Tapit, so I like the filly, but the raves about her (like she's a Derby filly or she's a given to win the Oaks) were kind of through the roof.

What is the BSF going to be for Machen's allowance workout? It was the slowest of the 3 races contested at that distance.

Not sure - but the other horses in that field lived in the low to mid 60's range.

Without doing one second of work - and even looking at the other times and races - probably about a 75 because he only won by 5 lengths.

Dialed In: 96 Beyer
