Closing my account. Sick of turf racing where the sissies are rewarded. Maybe a god-damned 1:22 1200 would of got it done.

GARBAGE.

Just passing info along but supposedly in R7 at Hawthorne # 4 Mine Shaft Gold is a stone cold runner. Reavis sucks as a trainer, but I've heard they already turned down 150k for the horse. If I am finding out about a Hawthorne horse that means alot of people already know so who knows what the odds are and betting Hawthorne is general is bad news but for those with balls bigger then mine.

Thanks for the info. I'll throw $25 on it and see if I can make a little extra scratch for the weekend.

How does Reavis suck?

He's been winning an average of 1 race per week for 35 years, with a 20% win percentage.

What makes him a bad trainer?

Um, the fact that he has about 100 horses and more then 75 of them he paid 15k for and they are running for 5k now. He isn't a good trainer, and from seeing him in action, his care for the horses is lacking, which explains alot.

Him and Frank Kirby are two guys I would love to claim off of here if I was working with a purchase bankroll.

fantini33 02-18-2011 02:14 PM

Away all weekend. Taking some big swings.

My Pick 5 play is posted on the other thread.

Gulfstream

Race #6) $5 Pick 3 --- 1 4 5 / 5 7 9 11 / 4 --- = $60

Race #7) $1 Tri Box --- 5 7 9 11 --- = $24

.50 Super --- 1 5 7 11 / 9 / 1 5 7 11 / ALL --- = $54

$50 Win --- 9 --- = $50

$5 Ex --- 1 5 7 11 / 9 --- = $20

.50 Pick 4 --- 1 5 6 7 9 11 / 2 4 / 2 3 6 / 3 4 8 11 --- = $72

Race #8) $40 Exacta --- 4 2 --- = $40

A weekends worth in just a few races!

Reavis has averaged over $4,000 per start the last 15 years. How is that bad for a trainer on the circuits he runs?

I'd be surprised if he had anywhere near 100 horses there days but if most of what he has cost $15k, I'm hardly surprised that most of them run for a nickel. What else would you expect?

Anyway, I hope you get your bankroll up.

Winner paid $4.30x25=$107.50. Got most of my money back from that wasted pick 5 attempt.

Feel the love.

Now, I would love to hear how you figured out Reavis has 100 horses these days.

I sucked so bad, I couldn't have hit the broad side of a barn even if I was leaning on it :zz::wf:wf

he had two barns at Arlington last year, plus he has mares plus foals as he is a breeder.

He might even have more then 100.

At Hawthorne, he is a top three trainer, but he isn't a trainer I trust when betting, just my opinion
