Silver Medallion is interesting here.

What if CTTT wins here and the connections change their mind about the KY Derby, if he wins there what happens to those who bet him in the last future wager before wagering on him was suspended, or to those who bet "all others" when he wasn't available?

GIFT!!

Indian Charlie 04-07-2011 12:07 AM

Perhaps the most interesting race of Saturday is the 5th at SA, a msw for 3yos and up going 6.5 down the hill.

Among the more interesting runners are...

Bellingham, a 5yo Empire Maker for Sadler/Moss making it's 2nd lifetime start.

My Top Cat, a 4yo Storm Cat colt making his debut. He fetched only 60,000 at auction and has a 45.3g and a 58.1h work gearing up for his debut.

Ghost Ride, a 4yo Ghostzapper - Victory Ride that went for 925k!!! This one is has some fast works for Guillot, including a 46.1g and 58.0g.

Rock Off, a 3yo RHT with some pretty solid works for Canani.

Mr. Make Believe, a 4yo RHT half to BCJ runnerup, Minister Eric.

Should be interesting to see how long My Top Cat can stay racing for Heap.

Also, 925k for a Ghostzapper seems impossible.

Just posted on Bloodhorse, no details. Just saw link to DRF...really sucks, there goes my top pick in Derby.

Indian Charlie 04-07-2011 04:13 PM

I wonder how much PG1985 had on him in the future book(s).

It's because I picked him this morning. Mushed!!!

iamthelurker 04-07-2011 04:18 PM

Premier Pegasus out

http://www.drf.com/news/premier-pega...ta-anita-derby

Ouch. Theres another spot for an allowance horse who goes and wins a bad race with a loaded purse. A once exciting potential derby field is starting to look a lot like last years joke.

alysheba4 04-07-2011 05:54 PM

hopefully uncle mo comes outta saturdays race in good shape.

Not nearly as much as I had on him as part of "All Others" in the KDFW (Pools 1 & 2). He was by far the most attractive horse to emerge from those groups.

That's a shame.

I never thought he deserved to be at those odds and he sure wasn't my pick here but hate to see someones Derby dream end like that.

I'm playing Anthony's Cross on top (for the 27th time :D) and using Indian Winter, Mr. Commons, Silver Medallion, and Quail Hill underneath in a tri and in a super.

Seems about right (for the Cho / Full-Figured Maria tandem.)

SCUDSBROTHER 04-09-2011 05:39 PM

Lil guy emptied his tank against Fluke. Now, put him away until he's effervescing. Sooner you put him away, sooner you'll get him back.

mbahadur 04-09-2011 06:45 PM

Nice ride by Gomez on Cambina. He excels at coming from way out of it on the grass.

AeWingnut 04-09-2011 07:03 PM

I'm going chalk in 2 bets

Comma To The Top w/ Mr. Commons w/ All

Comma To The Top w/ All w/ Mr Commons

then some fun bets using Baffert's other horse, Midnight Interlude and Indian Winter

pba1817 04-09-2011 07:14 PM

$1 tri key 6/379/234579,10 = $54

tjfla 04-09-2011 07:19 PM

Midnight Interlude!!!

over Comma to Top and Mr Commons

The favorite for the Derby might be 6/1....what a average group.

jms62 04-09-2011 07:21 PM

Well that seals it.... This is the worst crop of 3 year olds since I have been following the sport.

I hear this every year

The Indomitable DrugS 04-09-2011 07:23 PM

I never saw Pincay is his prime - but that's hands down the strongest rider I've ever seen in my lifetime - vintage Victor Espinoza strength from the games greatest two-turn route race ROI jockey. Makes him for not getting the Big Cap with Setsuko.

I didn't think the 4 or 5 the could run better than 3rd... almost had it.

And the other Indian Charlie's show their distance limitations
