You only say that because you are unaware of the complete dogcrap that's been bred to IC for most of his stallion career.

Hell, two of the most likely to get the distance for the Derby this year are by IC.

What Mike Welsch picks.

Indian Charlie 04-06-2011 07:56 PM

1. Uncle Mo.
2. Premier Pegasus.

3. No idea. Since I'm biased I'll go with Anthony's Cross, or maybe Mucho Macho Man.

How does Mucho play into your bias?

Don't sell the other Indian Charlie in the SA Derby short.

DaTruth 04-06-2011 08:15 PM

I'm waiting for the first report of dapples.

After Haskin chose Zenyatta as horse of the year, I don't know that I can read him without skimming again. And it saddens me to say that.

I don't like the way he's been handled lately.

Then again, I never like how any of Harty's horses are handled, and that didn't stop me.

I was actually referring to Indian Winter, who I don't think is as bad as his last race looks. We'll see, he's a 15-1 shot worth using in the exotics.

I know you meant Indian Winter. I don't like how Dorf has been handling him.

Then it occurred to me that I don't like how Anthony's Cross has been handled either, but I still think he'll do well in the race.

I'm just really used to Harty being the new Hassinger/Bradshaw.

Speaking of which - did you see the expensive first-time-starter Pippy's got that Ryerson is training on the Wood Memorial undercard?

I thought they were getting out of the game - and they go pay 160K for a Trippi?

He told me an interesting story about that horse earlier today.

Did you take notes on that horse from that sale last year?

ninetoone 04-06-2011 11:08 PM

Who's Borel's horse? :D

Was just looking at race this morning and he caught my eye too..

jpops757 04-07-2011 06:41 AM

I cant see any beating MO. Maybe Mo and the Factor burn each other up on the front end but It looks like Mo can carry it on. Assmusens 2nd place horse in the La Derby and the Fu-peg can pick up the pieces and fill out the exotics. I have made the mistake too many times by getting off a horse because his odds are too short. How dumb. Just dot bet. other than bet the odds that will make anicer pay. Even tho you see the best horse with the short odds.

slotdirt 04-07-2011 08:19 AM

Just brilliant stuff. Thank you.

Read the title of the thread. It's about who you think has a chance now, not what you will be betting in a month. Loosen up or have some friggen decaf.

Thunder Gulch 04-07-2011 09:06 AM

Uncle Mo- unless he is horrible this weekend or gets hurt
Premier Pegasus- had "the move" on the turn and kept going
Jaycito- will know more after this weekend, but Baffert has been high on him all along and he surveyed the entire Churchill track.
