NFL Moves
Who's getting the best and worst of it so far?
Don't the Pats play a 3-4? I thought Haynesworth was a 4-3 guy who gets a bloody vag whenever asked to play a 3-4. Reggie Bush to Miami? Your thoughts Cannon Shell? |
You gonna become a Jet fan when they pick up Moss?
|
Money to spend, and the best the Lions can do is sign Eric Wright? Disappointing.

I hear the Ravens and Rams are also interested. |

![]() That's the only Eric Wright I know. |
Pats made two excellent low risk trades which should shore up their D line and give Brady the deep threat he needs. Cards making huge gamble, Eagles get good D back in return and if they get Young to back up Vick will be improved. Broncos are playing the waiting game with Orton. Jets will be even tougher to score on but how many 3-0 games can they win?
|
Have a feeling the Eagles are going to implode this year.

Vince Young is done.

We signed Vince Young??!!
Move must've gotten lost in the recent shuffle!!!! Not a bad future for a team that made the playoffs during a year in which some idiots dubbed it "rebuilding". The best was Marcellus Wiley's prediction of a 4-12 year last year.. I laughed. Mike n Mike better put me through to him when they do predictions this year! |
Much better signing then Vince Young (if they really got him, I have no idea why they even want him).

busy team. |

Still a few more missing pieces to add, but for a team that holds ZERO value in the linebacker position, i'd say they are on the right path. |

I give the birds alot of credit, I didn't think that they were even on the radar and then out of nowhere they just swoop in and get him. Didn't they get Samuel the same way?

I thought for sure Namndi wanted the NY press for his acting career. |

If i werent mistaken, Asante signed a 5 yr 57 mil deal. That was three years ago however. Shocked that Namndi took it, i guess i was the 25 mil gauranteed was the deal breaker perhaps. Maybe he really DOES wanna play for a winner :D:eek: |

Joey my question is, did they lose Brad Smith because they were trying to sign Nnamdi and didn't have the space for both of them? I think he's a big loss for them. |

I'm a realist- i know we havent won $hit yet, but im happy to pledge my undying allegiance to a team that is capable of going far every year. You should know this being a Jet fan. Btw--made a surprise visit to the Knitting Factory a few mondays back. I'm thinking of taking my talents to Williamsburg lol (except for the flying cockroaches tht yall have up there, WTF) |

every year since i was a kid i've said the same thing.... maybe next year. so, maybe next year! lol the hell with football, i'm ready for hockey. just read that fat albert wasn't at pats practice; speculation is that he failed the conditioning test...surely not!! |
and sproles replaces bush in nola.
gotta love the teacup rb's. |
You put your order in for that Burress replica jersey yet, Joey?:D
|
I remember Burress making a nice catch over the middle his rookie year. He was untouched - instead of running - he hops up - spikes the ball - and the defense is waiting for the ball to come back down to secure a fumble recover while the dumbass is showboating.
No matter how stupid he may look for shooting himself in the foot with a loaded gun and going to jail for a couple years while nearing the end of his prime ... that play in Pittsburg was his peak showing of dumbfucl<ery for me. |

They're saying Moss to the Eagles if he "comes down on his asking price" - same thing they said with the Jets.
The Eagles were desperate to get him last time in free agency - and gave him a better offer than the Pats - if that doesn't work out ... he's probably going to get paid by someone like the Rams ('Sup Josh McDaniels reunion) or the Browns ('Sup 40 million under the cap and no WR's) Sounds like he has a team he's not excited to play for on the hook for a price he wants - but he's still trying to get similar money from a contender. |
Considering Nnamdi's statements about the Eagles being his top choice all along, it looks like the Jets got played by his agent, who coincidentally  also represents Cromartie. Use the Jets to drive up Nnamdi's price, then know they will come running back to Cromartie afterwards, driving up his price as well.
Burress for $3 million isn't a huge risk, hopefully he can still play a little. As for letting Brad Smith go, the kick-off rule change, which got forgotten about due to the labor strife, makes that part of the game less important. While he is an excellent Wildcat QB, I think he proved over the last 3 years he is not a very good WR. Great guy who performed admirably in big spots, but unquestionably expendable. |
I don't get how the Eagles are fitting all of this under the cap. They've signed seemingly 1/2 the actual high profile free agents this offseason. Between Nnamdi, Cullen Jenkins, and Jason Babin, they have like $100 million in salary tied up for the next five seasons. That has to have an impact sometime, right?

I was shocked to see he signed for 12 a year - when reports had him going for 17 at the least. I wonder if the Bucs ever had an offer on the table, bein tht they have serious wiggle room with spending this year. Eagles went all-in this year, and picked up a 2nd and 5th rounder for nxt yr in the process. #birdgang |
