Champ Pegasus--Free Money

Twirling Candy--I like redemption at a price even if it is favoritism. Not my free money seal of approval, but I will be putting the most to win on this one out of all my win bets this weekend. I am hoping at the very most to get 3-1 on him, but ive resigned to the fact that hes probably going to be a big favorite but not odds on like in the past.

Your play of the weekend is Twirling Candy at a short price? Really?

Alan07 08-25-2011 03:30 PM

Bourbon Bay scratched from Pacific Classic and will run in DMR Hcp.

BOURBON BAY (Sligo Bay [Ire])
DON CAVALLO (El Prado [Ire])
GAME ON DUDE (Awesome Again)
GREAT WARRIOR (Brz) (Leroidesanimaux [Brz])
JERANIMO (Congaree)
QUINDICI MAN (Came Home)
SETSUKO (Pleasantly Perfect)
STATELY VICTOR (Ghostzapper)
TRES BORRACHOS (Ecton Park)
TWIRLING CANDY (Candy Ride [Arg])

Acclimation might be the only horse in the race who was a better race horse than his sire.

Good ole $1,700 yearling Bourbon Bay is close with Sligo Bay.

Man -- what a bunch of F'ing runners some of those sires were -- Ghostzapper, Congaree, Candy Ride, Pleasantly Perfect, Awesome Again, Leroidesanimaux, Came Home.

Some machines right there.

Aren't Unusual Heats number very unusual on synth though?

helicopter11 08-28-2011 03:41 PM

Jeranimo in the PC

GPK 08-28-2011 03:49 PM

I just don't get the timing of these races out west sometimes. Or should I say the race placement on the card.

herkhorse 08-28-2011 03:59 PM

I'll take a shot with Medici Code at 20-1

King Glorious 08-28-2011 06:00 PM

I thought The Factor ran a pretty nice race today winning the speed battle and holding on very well in the lane. Not bad at all.

Seattleallstar 08-28-2011 06:35 PM

the Factor was super off the layoff, seems to be the real deal at the from 6f to a mile dont see how hes going to get beat.

ninetoone 08-28-2011 06:38 PM

Quindici Man to spring the upset tonight!

10 pnt move up 08-28-2011 07:09 PM

Jeranimo

CSC 08-28-2011 07:16 PM

Stately Victor for me.

GPK 08-28-2011 07:18 PM

Don Cavallo at a square price.

Dahoss 08-28-2011 07:24 PM

Another eyesore. They should cancel the Classic this year.

Seattleallstar 08-28-2011 07:32 PM

Twirling Candy should of passed Acc if he was the horse we all thought he was, didnt disgrace himself but he didnt show he was this superstar either, for that I am dissapointed. I thought TC was the real deal and would redeem himself.

He has been a hanging dog for quite a while now.

Ya but Acclimation controled that pace real nice and lots left in the tank. Thought they both ran pretty well..

Nope. I posted all my failed picks on this message board. Beaux Choix, Raison D'etat, and Jeranimo. No one can pick a non-winner better than me...hands down.

Alan07 08-28-2011 09:43 PM

After all, Hank picked Jeranimo. Isn't that worthy of an excuse?

helicopter11 08-28-2011 10:15 PM

Matt Carothers also picked Jeranimo so I am in good company

Your work this weekend has been strong. But I've been a mush the entire summer. To the point where I'm questioning how much I am actually enjoying this anymore.

Tell me about it. I would enjoy the sport more if there were good horses to watch but thats not the case anymore. The handicapping process is to pick the least slowest horse.

he looked kind of lathered up while warming up, I probably did jinx him, i think he and coil were my two picks and both lead up the rear..haha

CSC 08-29-2011 01:43 PM

I have a hard time understanding why the best horse to ship in and take a shot at a million dollar purse was only Stately Victor, even if I had a mediocre turf horse, I would have atleast entered and tried to grab a piece of the pot. Even an european presence would have elevated this race, not sure why no one even tried, nothing in this field should have scared anyone off.

She's a honey for sure................but that hat was quite pathetic. Even the dress was questionable. Left at the altar?
