World Series

St. Louis vs Detroit
Detroits pitching carries them in 7.

Cannon Shell 10-12-2013 11:18 AM

Detroit's bullpen might kill them

declansharbor 10-19-2013 09:31 PM

That was the most disgraceful base running i think i've EVER seen there. Fielder, that was pitiful.

horseofcourse 10-19-2013 11:52 PM

I'm bored with Amish ball players. I'll be pulling for the Cardinals. Perhaps the two most pretentious fan bases in all of sports however so impossible to really pull for either team, but I choose to go against the faux-Amish team.

I couldn't possibly imagine a more insufferable World Series. I'm gonna try not to watch a single inning.

Boston-145 StL +115 Gotta pull for the National League

Patrick333 10-21-2013 08:34 AM

The Cards young pitchers have just been great. I'm going with St. Louis in seven.

or maybe he doesn't care for either team. i'd have a hard time watching any finals if it had two teams i couldn't stand.
i love hockey, but a few years ago after the caps exited (the year they won the presidents cup) i was so sickened by it, i didn't watch another game that spring.

:tro: Once the Rays got knocked out, baseball season was over and hockey season started. I could not possibly care any less about either of these two teams.

World Series

The Red Sox beat a team whose major flaws were exposed for all the world to see. Cards in six.

i'm more excited about hockey than football these days.

i really think i'm ready to throw in the towel on the 'skins til dan snyder is no longer the owner. been a fan since i was a little kid, but i'm really asking why? now. tradition is the main reason.

I know. I've been a fan for 33 years, got on the bandwagon when I moved to DC in 1980, got to enjoy the glory years from '83 - '93, and have been stuck in purgatory since.

20 years seems like an eternity.

Danzig 10-21-2013 12:20 PM

only football team i've ever supported, and have been for as long as i can remember. george allen was awesome...hell, when they said chris hanberger was going in the hall, i said oh, old no 55. i hate the dolphins, always have...i was 5 in 72 when they beat us in the super bowl!

randallscott35 10-24-2013 07:56 AM

Only counts as 1 game Sox fans. You would think they won the series already. Yuck

Ocala Mike 10-24-2013 12:41 PM

World Series

No truth to the rumor that the parents of the Cards' players are suing the Red Sox for "bullying."

The OP said it's only one game, and I agree, but the Cards must win tonight, IMHO.

Cards pitching last night was lights out. I was very impressed with the kid Martinez, his stuff was filthy.

Alabama Stakes 10-25-2013 09:36 AM

if y'all are interested. Sox will win in seven on Halloween night as the witches fly in from Salem for the game. what a spectacle it will be for all.

How about Rosenthal striking out the side in the 9th on 11 pitches, finishing with 99 MPH? (OK, I watched.)

I laughed.
He was throwing gas, but his ball seems straight as an arrow. It could be a matter of time for him before the Sox catch up to him. But you're right Joey , it was a very impressive performance

But Martinez's stuff was moving all over the place at 96 plus MPH. He really opened my eyes.

randallscott35 10-30-2013 07:16 AM

Now Cards in 7

Alabama Stakes 10-30-2013 10:46 AM

"They" say sox tonight.

word on the street says it ends tonight......done deal. Bet accordingly !

If it goes to game 7 the outcome won't matter, the mob mentality combined with alcohol and halloween costumes and being really tough to identify wrongdoers. Theres no way they will let that happen. double your breeders cup bankroll with very low risk. It's a cinch. Mucho Macho man in the Classic, is my official release for Saturday. That is all.

randallscott35 10-31-2013 07:13 AM

Cards in 9;)
