Open Championship

Adam Scott redeems himself for past 2 Opens.

Dustin Johnson should fair well this week. Wouldn't be surprised to see Marc Warren carry over his strong play from last weeks Scottish Open. Looking for Francesco Molinari to jump up and grab an unsuspected major sometime soon, too.

R&A has players sign agreement that they won't wager on the tourney?:zz: It's ok, because caddies can run bets for 'em:D

I'll go for Graeme McDowell, tough as they come.

All 4 of these guys playing really well, but it makes no difference. The kid from Holywood should win another major by 8.

Can't underestimate the effect of escaping the crazy. Although Rory spazzing has taken a lot of the starch out of this tournament.

Tomorrow will be interesting. Weather should be awful.

If they can't close tomorrow it's over.

Seems as Fowlers move to working with Butch Harmon is paying dividends. Too bad Tigers ego wouldn't let him stay with Butch.
Amazing DJ has yet to make a bogey for the championship.

Rorys Dad bet 100 euro at 500/1 he would win open by age 26, 10 years ago. Wow!

Pants II 07-19-2014 11:40 AM

18 was a clinic.

Wouldn't be surprised to see -21 or better.

Agree. I think he keeps his foot on the pedal tomorrow. He's proven he's not afraid to win by big margins. Scary to think how talented he really is.

Tom Watson bests Tiger by 5 strokes...haha. Ryder cup in jeopardy for Tiger, who would of thunk we would get to this point with him

If Sergio makes that 2 foot birdie on Sat., and doesn't leave it in the bunker yesterday....

:D

Seriously though, that was a pretty tame Open in terms of the wind and weather.

I'm giving Tiger a pass on this one. I think he'll get better the more he plays.

I am done giving him a pass, he has gotten one every time since 2009. He had a very promising 1st round

When you have a target on your back for as many years as he did, it's inevitable that you breed a whole generation of guys aiming to be better than you. Is he still capable of being elite?! You bet he is, or at leadt in my opinion he is. Is he head and shoulders dominant above others?! No, and those days are behind him. The same people who think that probably thought Mike Tyson was still in his prime after the Peter Mcnally fight.

I think his body has broken down. His swing generates so much torque it was inevitable. Also I don't think he did himself any favors building a body builder type physique.
