March Madness 2015

Figured I'd make the thread.

Just want to say I hope Kentucky slaughters Arkansas today and doesn't let their boot off the throat of the HAWG.

Thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.

Kentucky obviously the favorite to go 40-0 and win it all, Duke could upset and possibly Wisconsin as both should be #1 seeds and avoid the Cats until the final four, don't see anyone else unless UConn gets in and finds more March magic. Like Buffalo to surprise and win a couple games, Iowa State will be a tough out.

Alabama Stakes 03-15-2015 11:14 AM

no way jose

Kentucky will never go undefeated. No way they win out. they good, but theres a reason why teams don't go undefeated. Other guys are good too. Villanova , Arizona, Wisky, Duke, all have A games that will beat them on an off night. we shall see

Arizona could be there if they score enough, same with Nova...Cats are monsters on the "D" end and their height make them hard to beat, I personally love Duke and Wisconsin but things would have to fall right for them...North Carolina could get hot, so could Gonzaga but Kentucky is clearly class of field.

jms62 03-15-2015 11:45 AM

The team that scores the most points in each of its games will win for sure!;)

Alabama Stakes 03-15-2015 01:23 PM

teams that allow the least points will always win their games.

arizona could manhandle them up front and break them mentally

Northeastern Huskies, back when Jim Calhoun coached. we have a surprise waiting for Notre Dame...SHHHHH. Money line outright winner

OldDog 03-16-2015 07:17 AM

Mike Golic: All I've got from you guys for filling out my bracket is Kentucky going all the way.

Jay Bilas: That's all you need.

Kentucky isn't unstoppable, but it will take an opponent's A+ game and a Kentucky meltdown. I don't believe that happens. If Kentucky gets past its West region opponent, they cut down the nets.

Coach, did you see the Christian Laetner 30/30? What did you think?

It was my favorite 30/30. One of the all-time greats of college basketball.

The Laettner family is a dying breed. Confident, unashamed competitors.

3kings 03-17-2015 10:31 AM

Agree on all accounts, he would be even more hated if he played today.Great 30/30.

Alabama Stakes 03-17-2015 10:54 AM

we need a pool....maybe a sweet 16 one ?

If that LSU game happened present day...

Good grief. 24/7 coverage.

I can't disagree with any of these. The steal by Bird....certainly a moment I will never forget! Walton's reaction & Ainge in that clip at the end "they forgot about Larry Bird"...priceless!!!

Chuck Daly's reaction after the game was priceless, too. The fact that it happened to the 2 biggest pricks on the Pistons (Thomas trying to inbound to Lambieer) made it so much sweeter.:tro:

I know Coach Calhoun would have called time out and got his best player back in the game who shouldn't have been out in the first place. Shoulda won that game, what was the coach thinking ? plenty of time, set up a play, it's infuriating. we beat their ass, fair and square, but lost on bad coaching.

somerfrost 03-19-2015 04:36 PM

Lost 4 teams already, good news is I only had one (Iowa State) winning next round. Looks like another wild early round.

Pants II 03-19-2015 05:23 PM

I like Eastern Washington tonight but the moneyline isn't lucrative on a single.

three teamer
Nova -22.5
Purdue +1.5
Eastern Washington +285
40/510

Don't want to ruin your rant but they were out of time outs. They should have gotten a shot off but a TO was not an option.

Pants II 03-19-2015 08:31 PM

Purdue has a 7 point lead with a minute left.

Now overtime.

I'm on a long-term bad luck run to the point where I know sh.it like that is going to happen.

Pants II 03-19-2015 08:45 PM

Thank you, Bearcats.

Painter...you gotta go.

What a choke.

Pants II 03-20-2015 11:08 AM

Pants II 03-20-2015 01:27 PM

Mark Fox deserves another $400,000 raise after this game.

This is going to be close to line. Good luck

Pants II 03-20-2015 02:04 PM

The first half looked like a pick up game. Georgia shot 28% from the field, had 10 turnovers, and had 6 less assists than Michigan State.

I just want to know how you can justify paying $1,700,000 a year to a guy that is responsible for the University and team to not look like a complete laughing stock on national television.

These people with their crusades for equal pay need to go after these overpaid coaches and athletes. It's a fu.cking children's game. If you want to do wealth equality then go after these people.

It's not like they're doctors, engineers, soldiers, etc.

If I'm going to get jobbed then the people doing it should get paid for their job performance accordingly.

Mark Fox's performance is worth maybe $400 and trip expenses.

Pants II 03-20-2015 02:10 PM

Indeed it's madness.

There's a rumor circulating that Alabama is going after Crean and willing to pay half of his buyout. So $6 million not counting his contract.

This is extremely depressing news. It affected me so much that I have Indiana going to the Elite 8 in my bracket.

I am officially a temporary Hoosiers fan.

casp0555 03-20-2015 04:06 PM

That's what all my buddies said. I swear they had one left. Why was Overton out of the game ?

The look on the kids face said it all. How can we have a chance to win, and I'm standing next to you coach?

I thought the coach did a good job of managing him. He had 4 fouls with about 10 minutes left and just got caught out of the game at the end. Northeastern wasted 2 TO's on inbound plays in the last few minutes and it really cost them at the end.

saratogadew 03-21-2015 08:45 AM

lock it down. Notre Dame -4.5 against Butler. East street.

saratogadew 03-21-2015 08:45 AM

Easy street

Alabama Stakes 03-21-2015 10:35 AM

california dreamin

They were exposed by NU , Butler will whip them.

P.S Overton played the whole year with 4 fouls, he knows how.
