Will be posting two horses a day. One will be the equivalent of a “best bet” and one will be a “best long shot”. Hoping to change my mojo in this room a bit.

Not really a “long shot” but I don’t see much today

Qurbaan was terribly overbet and ran a blah 3rd. Orpheus was a good 2nd at 16-1 and paid $11 to place.

Good luck today - you will get one home soon I can feel it. This is kind of a concept play type thing, curious if you’re having any luck so far at the meet? I haven’t played much but what I have has been dreadful. Here’s to turning it around

Luckily my betting hasn’t been as bad as my 2 picks a day. It’s tough trying to come up with a best bet, because to me a best bet could be a 20-1 shot that is think is way more likely to win than odds indicate.

I haven’t had a lot of winners but I’ve made the ones I have had count.

Finally caught one. Plink Freud missed 2nd by a nose, but caught the last. Paid $26.60 to win and $13 to place.

Nice call on Riendo today. Amazing that the horse won all things considered...maybe too obvious but right back(obviously depends on spot)?

Kinky Sox is one for the stable mail to me, way too wide, couldn’t get forward, dropped to last...not a flashy late run but ok weaving through considering the early intent. Will give a long look next out

Best bet Riendo got up at wire, but if you watched the race he was tons best at a generous 5-1. Paid $12.80 to win $6 to place. Kinky Sox, as theguarantee mentioned belongs in stable mail for next time. Landeros had no plan from the outside post, so going into the turn he was in no mans land very wide. He should have decided to either take back after the break or go. He did neither. Then he dropped back to last, and made a mild late run. Should be much better next time.

Have to say that I don’t think it ultimately mattered but Dylan’s ride on Prioritize was less than stellar. Kowalski was great and I thought Joel rose absolutely perfectly, just ran into a potential beast in Shoplifted who was mighty impressive. Gets the dough most days...

Yeah I don’t think it mattered on win end but he just broke and never really moved at all. Frankly he’s been lost the entire meet.

Kowalski ran huge but was overtaken late and finished 2nd behind what could turn out to be a very good horse. Prioritize hasn’t finished yet I think.

My thought is it’s Mckinzie or Preservationist in the Whitney. I’m not understanding all the Vino Rosso love personally...probably pushing Capla Tempress who I’ve long been a big fan of. I don’t get Vino Rosso either. Which means he probably romps :D. Monongahela scares me because of his trainer.

Manifest Destiny was blah, but Good Governance looked like a future stakes winner in his debut, getting carried out very wide into the first turn and then running down his stablemate in a salty field, paying $7.50 and $4.50. 4 of 5 best bets won last week and the other was 2nd. Longshots for the most part not doing their part but we will get there.
