Hollywood Pik-6 carryover 11/30

We took a stab and just got lucky and won a photo.
Could use some rooting home in the last 4 legs.

We played:

1,3,5(3 won and paid 7.40 as the 2nd choice)

1,3,5,11 (3 won paid 26.60)

2,6,7

1,2,4,5,6

1

1,6

720 bucks

No I didn't. I just got in as the third race was going off and thought it might bemore important to actually get the bet on the computer than to stop and post about it first.
Looks like we got trouble here in the 5th. 8 is getting blasted on the board.
We're 5 deep in the next leg and I love the single in the 8th(down inside off two trouble trips while main opponent is drawn outside and gets a negative jock switch).
8th is a crapshoot but if we can get by this leg I think we've got one hell of a shot to be alive into the last leg.

oracle80 11-30-2006 04:37 PM

YES!!!
7-1 shot rolls in the third leg!!!!!! Number 6.

Can dream for another half hour.

I dunno Stud. That last race is just so hard.
We're lucky to be alive anyway. I was gonna go three deep in the 7th race and only 2 deep in the 4th race. Once I found out that we had a scratch in the 7th race, I cut the race down to 1 horse and added horses in the 4th race. One of the horses I added was the winner, he wasn't on the ticket we were gonna play.
No way I could single the last race, or this race. So basically happy and lucky to be alive and just wanna extend the dream another 30 minutes.

Go Oracle!

SentToStud 11-30-2006 05:11 PM

well, you beat down the chalk there in leg4, so that's good.

i like the single.

I agree the last is just a total clusterf***.

Just get it there!

No faves yet, and that 3-1 running down the 8-5 in the 6th race was a BIG DEAL. I was screaming my lungs out for her to get up. Many tickets just hit the floor that had the 2 singled.
Opened at even money here with the single and now its 25 minutes of pacing the floor and calling a friend or two and trying to distract myself from thinking about it.

Rupert Pupkin 11-30-2006 05:14 PM

Oracle, How did you get so good at handicapping polytrack?

uscrules 11-30-2006 05:17 PM

Curious, how do you know many people singled the 2 that just got beat? Or are you guessing because of the odds. Dont always work that way partner. If it makes you feel good, then its true. Good luck with this single although I doubt you'll need it.

Not good, kinda lucky.
The one we hit there on Sunday didn't pay much, and I singled TWO GRASS RACES!!
You might note that my single again is a grass race.
I still have no confidence in singling a poly race.
Thats the truth.

That horse was probably the 4th most singled horse on this card.
I'd guess the most popular singles are
1)Entry in the 4th race
2)the 1 in the 8th
3) The 1 in the last race
4) Indy's Windy in the 6th race.

I don't think it mattered as much as you think. The only tickets left are guerilla tickets that would have had them both... you're in REALLY good shape... this payoff could be well over 6 figures. I'm rooting for you.

uscrules 11-30-2006 05:23 PM

Theres no way to know that, I am guessing this upcoming 1 horse is the most singled, but again a guess. Nothing more.
Hope you hit this thing.

colt 45ss 11-30-2006 05:23 PM

played
1/all/8
1/27
good luck on the 7th:D

You're joking? Take a look at the race 6 p3 pays. That gives a clue.

uscrules 11-30-2006 05:26 PM

So your saying the same people who play pick 3's play pick 6's? Maybe, maybe not. Dont always work that way partner. But if it makes you feel good its true. Thats what Matt Leinart always tells me.

uscrules 11-30-2006 05:29 PM

The 8 horse looks magnificent on the track. Much slower on the sheets than the 1 horse but better on the track. Good luck Oracle. Hope the 1 crushes em.

ok, chief, thanks for that. say hi to matt. partner??

Rootdog1 11-30-2006 05:32 PM

GOOD LUCK ORACLE!! I am pulling for you. I have missed one leg, and used 1 & 2 in the 7th and used 1 & 10 in the last leg......like the 10 in the 8th at a price.

Stud obviously he wasnt looking at the pik-3's and doesnt realize how much more it payed with the 5 than it was paying with the 2.
Its like 3 times the value.
And yeah USC, the same folks who play pik-3's play pik-4's and pik-6's.
Its not like there are some folks on an island somewhere who only play pik3's and soem on another island who play pik-6's only.
If you look at pik payouts of any kind they almost always correspond, as in pik-3 lowest payout with a horse being the lowest payout on the pik-4 with the same horse.
Trust me, the 2 losing kicked up the price by a factor of at least 2 1/2, maybe 3. You have to single someone somewhere.

The 1 was strangled back off a CRAWLING pace last time out in the last race. half went in 51:2 that day and she was 3 1/2 off that and wide.
Draws the rail and drops from MSW to mdn 25. I really like her and only used Mullisn because shes bred to go farther and seems to be getting sharp.

oracle80 11-30-2006 05:37 PM

Thanks Victor, I really appreciate you letting Antongeorgi school you in race riding. Piece of ****ing garbage should be deported.

oracle80 11-30-2006 05:39 PM

Unbelievable. He let that kid shut him off after he had already gone into a move with his horse. I saw it coming, and just can't believe he didn't sit and wait to move when he got a hole.
I knew what was gonna happen before it did.

oracle80 11-30-2006 05:42 PM

1 is paying 40,800
6 is paying 81,600

Ours would have been less, but maybe 30 and 60 as opposed to 40 and 80.
Victor Espinoza should get the clap from a prostitue tonight. I'll be hoping anyway.

3,5,10 are carryovers.
If you wanna root for a carryover the best chance of those three to me would be the 10, who certainly isn't impossible. The other two are.

Victor didn't have any horse. There was nothing he could do.

Anyway, you did a great job getting the first 4 in a row. I hope you get this next one home and get a nice consolation.

uscrules 11-30-2006 05:54 PM

Good run Oracle. This game will eat you up and toy with your emotions if you let it. Maybe you'll get a nice pick 5 but I know its no consolation. My advice to you is start drinking heavily.

Rupert you don't watch races like i do, I think we disagree often enough that its obvious.
You tend to think they are machines, an can stop and start at any point in a race.
Its just not so, when you wind one up like he did (she was much stronger than the 8 was) and then stop them cold, some of them will start the engine up for you again and some won't.
She was moving sweeter, and moving stronger, once she got stopped she chucked it.
he had plenty of horse.

uscrules 11-30-2006 06:04 PM

I agree Oracle. Not saying your horse would have won the race but he would have finished a lot closer to the 8 had he not been stopped, maybe had won. That was going to be a great stretch duel between the 8 and the 1, but Victor f'ed it up. He owes you. Start drinking heavily partner.

Rupert, your way off partner.

blackthroatedwind 11-30-2006 06:05 PM

Is this announcer calling this last race at Hollywood doing an impression of Ronnie Ebanks?

uscrules 11-30-2006 06:06 PM

Great job Oracle. You should get about 10 grand for that consolation? Maybe 12?

I was actually thinking the same exact thing.

I officially hate Victor Espinoza's guts. Nothing bad enough can happen to him. The one paying 81,600 just won.

Huh? Are you just a ball buster or that confused?

Consos are in the 1% range with a carryover. $400 would be optimistic.

Umm,
How long have you been following horses and racing?
It should pay about 800 bucks I'd think.

I was thinking 800 for that very same math reason, its paying 81,200.
