Kev and anybody else who might be interested,

In race 4 what do you think about Baltic King, I bet him last time out
at Penn after working pretty well. I think this son of King Cugat could improve a little 2nd time out. Comes from from pretty good stable and brings in Belmonte for the ride. Do you think it's worth a trip to the OTB.

Let me take a look Mike.

GPK 12-02-2006 05:32 PM

calracing wont give me the replay, so I can't see what he looked like.

couple of signs that stand out....jock makes his way to the track for the mount....went off as the favorite in his debut...breeding seems more suited for routes than sprints, so maybe his debut was just a prep. Like the fact he showed some late run first out. Hasnt worked since his last race, but shows some decent moves before his debut...18 days between races...not facing much in here....speed happy OZ may send his horse and try and steal it on the front end...as there seems to be ZERO other speed lined up. The 5 may get a good trip from just off the pace...

I could bet Baltic King @ 5-1 or better.

saucon17 12-02-2006 05:43 PM

I'll take the trip OTB and see what action he takes. Then I'll
decide what to do. Also Sam Houston has some nice races being
Texas Champions Day, maybe we can find a couple of nice plays there.

I downloaded the PP's just in case Mr. Goose talks me into playing a few things there:o

Baltic King...easy winner by a dozen lengths....but at 8/5 it was a no bet for me. The only other horse that had a chance was OZ on the #7 and he chocked him so hard early I was fully prepared to see him through the horse to the ground and put him in a figure 4 leg lock:eek:

GPK 12-02-2006 07:23 PM

Mike, I am sorry but I just could not see the #10 in the 3rd....trainer was 2 for 90 on the year going into that race and the T/J combo was 0 for 35 for the year....

DerbyCat 12-02-2006 07:42 PM

Hey Kev, just got home from the OTB... how's it going at the Mountain?

the figure four move? classic Ric Flair.... Woooooooo. Love me some Ric Flair. 16 time champ still going at it at age 58.

You look at the 8th race .. 2 yo sprint? Been looking at it for an hour. I think the Maker colt BB Mancini is the one. Anything else other than him and Flint's Speedway?

DerbyCat 12-02-2006 07:50 PM

Went to the OTB about 20 minutes from my house... wanted to play the Cali tracks and be around other people - hit a few winners but basically broke even...

I had to get home in time to play MNR with you... no better way to spend a Sat. night  :D
