Post Derby Decompression

Now that the race has been run and all the pre race and post race analysis has been done...what will you all do for the next few days?

Do you step back for a few days and relax?

Do you keep on charging to the Preakness with that analysis starting today?

Do you keep on looking at Derby PP's and see where your selections went right :D or wrong? :(

Me..it's morning political shows, then on to Rangers-Sabres, also rain changed Nascar from Richmond, mix in Yankees-Mariners game, then a nice BBQ at home, then Sopranos and Entourage on HBO.

Weather had dropped 10-15 degrees in NY. Too cool for Belmont today anyway!

I decompress by going back to work before I'm off tomorrow and Tuesday.

As for racing, I'm still looking over the Derby -- studying the charts, watching the replay over and over because I think it's the most fascinating race of the year to watch and it doesn't get old.

Then the lull will come for me this week where it'll be a bit quieter and I'll wait for 13 days from now.

I'm going to try to collect from all the family members who asked me to put up bets for them.

Can you decompress by watching 5k claimers at Mountaineer tonight? That's at least back to the norm for me. Otherwise it's crappy out. I'm gonna take a nap, watch Schilling shut down my Twinkies, and maybe do some laundry.

I'll go back to being Bob the Builder. I was installing granite tile counter tops and a new sink in my kitchen for a couple of weeks before the Derby. Pretty much got them installed on Friday night then my wife and I had to babysit the grandchildren that night so I had very little time to handicap. Did pretty decent on derby day. Probably a lesson in all that. The old study long, study wrong I guess.

After this weekend, I need a blood transfusion. It will probably be Thursday before I feel right again.

He has a rare talent of skillfully being able to drive three cars at once?

Of course he does :p . Having drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon to man the steering wheel probably doesn't hurt either.
