I'll Miss This Place
 

River Downs. I made the trip from Columbus to Cincy numerous times this Summer to what I now consider a diamond in the rough, that being River Downs. Folks, if you are in the area either during the off season or during live racing check out this place as I am certain you will not regret it. This track has a nice turf course, a great simulcast facility, an outdoor atmosphere on the weekends etc etc..

No, it is not Keeneland, Churchill or Saratoga (only been to two of the three mentioned above of course) but this little track along the river has won my heart and soul. Not to mention my Granny's.

Now I get to look forward to dark and dreary winter days at Beulah Park. I am definetly gonna try out Turfway Park soon as it is only a few minutes farther south then River Downs, but the thought of the Poly troubles me as the pure dirt is what it is. We shall see.
