i hope he gets it, but it was such a bad pick, a pick'em road team against a team with confidence.....

Bigsmc 11-23-2008 06:57 PM

He had no patience, too many people on his heels trying to beat him to the money.

No way I make that pick.

That guy must be pretty sick today. At least it was over early.

timmgirvan 11-24-2008 12:39 PM

Heard it was 2 people.....that's a crusher!

Exactly, the Colts were a better play (hindsight), totally forced.

The boys and I thought we saw you at the SF game last night rocking a mean pair a horns, thus the text message

Bigsmc 11-24-2008 01:38 PM

Nope, not me. I stayed home, had to travel early this am.

No horns in my closet.....

Road teams going into domes, it is beyond me what the hell they are doing, but I am not in there shoes so who knows what the heck I would be doing. I know one thing, I most definitely wouldn't have been picking the f'n Packers, that is like rooting for the White Sox

It said in the article he started the streak with Stardom Bound in the Juvy Fillies... which in retrospect she was dominant but would you have taken even money on her (which was essentially what you were getting here?) It is REALLY hard to win 25 games in a row. I think all these people getting to 23, 24 are doing pretty amazing.

He had Stardom Bound and Zenyatta

23 and 24 is amazing, but if you get this far, you better be doing the research and making SOLID choices. How is a team going on the road playing in a dome a solid choice?

Used to be home teams had a huge advantage in the NFL, it's certainly less this year but dome teams are still pretty strong at home...

You know what though, both teams these guys took were favored, so maybe they found a way to layoff and took the points in both situations, although I don't know many, if any, that would 'book' a 250 or 400k bet...

good point... i wonder if they were able to get some risk off? no question you hedge in that situation if available...

Who is taking 250k worth of action though? For Vegas to take that type of action from a random dude, you are looking at red tape for two weeks

No, but you'd hope he would have at least got 10k for his close call.
