Lloydobler turnout close to Saratoga
Instead of turning Lloyd out for the next 6-7 weeks at a New Jersey farm, he has shipped with 4 horses Gary has for Nat Krohn to a facility near Warrensberg, north of Saratoga. As Doreen suggested, it would be great to have him accessible to those visiting the Spa this summer, and now he will be. I'll have details on arrangements to visit the farm in the next day or so...

Happy, happy, happy. Warrensburg? Wonder if that's the Pucker Ridge facility I suggested. But, whatever, we'll have the opportunity to visit and love on him.
Thanks Sreve and Gary. |
Oscar's alone is worth the trip north to Warrensburg... http://www.oscarssmokedmeats.com/

Talked with Paul and Nat this morning. Lloyd is at Stonegate Stables in Ft. Edward (just a hoot and a holler up the road)
http://www.stonegatestables.net/data/ If it doesn't rain, we'll take a run up to see him. |
We went out to Stonegate today to visit with Lloyd. We called in advance to make sure it was OK. No problem - they said to come visit anytime between 9 and 5. It is a mere 7 miles from us.
Chris greeted us and led us out to Lloyd who was in a large round pen. He seemed a bit confused and unsettled so we didn't impose on him other than to take some photos. About 15 minutes later it threatened to rain, so Lloyd was led back into the barn. He seemed happy about that. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Thanks Doreen -
Love the look on Lloyd's face. Thoroughbreds are funny in turn out, some have no idea what they are supposed to do with unscripted time. |
looks as good as ever...but definitely bemused.

thanks for the shots Doreen and appreciate your checking in on the Lloyd - looks like he's doing his best impression of a Morgan Show Horse, trying to blend in with the rest of his peers up there, no dummy lol :o

Thanks for sharing
is Lloyd taking a break? I must've missed that note |

On July 11th, Steve posted this about Lloyd - "Spoke with Gary who feels we need to stop on Lloyd with a turnout for 60-75days. Something continues to nag at him and the vets that have gone over the gelding cannot see anything specific. Chuck also agreed with Gary's thoughts that time away should be beneficial after what has been more than a year of constant training for Lloydobler." |
