I'm not going to defend the relatively mediocre field for the Jamaica.....but it was a thousand times stronger than the Alcibiades.

The Alcibides was certainly a joke. But a race for 3 yo's in the fall with 2 graded winners, both who won a single grade 3 race, is not a grade 1. The fact that somehow these races and the BC Classic and KY Derby have the same grade kind of makes the grading system seem farcical.

It's a long argument....where I am sure we basically agree most of the time.
