If Special Duty is in any kind of shape (she's tailed off since stepping up vs. elders), she should massacre these horses and pick up where Proviso left off.

They can't fool you.

Pretty amazing to be put up in both the French and English 1000 Guineas.

Yeah Rollo is a real fn rocket scientist..First he names 30 mares out of 300 that are quasi dirt broodmares now he suggests a G1 horse from europe should swamp US based turfers.. Next he will be touting Mike Tyson vs. Robbin Givens

I was banking on the vast majority not knowing (or perhaps remembering) who Special Duty is.

On paper, she's probably the most accomplished Euro to be imported to this country (I'm assuming she's staying) in a while.

As far as the DQs go, she's like a reverse Gate Dancer.

You opportunistic douche bag. You had no rebuttal to my Empire Maker post over a week ago, and clearly, you still don't. Give it up.

As for "touting" Special Duty, I was essentially just pointing her out, because apparently the DRF, etc. don't really seem to think its newsworthy that a f'n dual classic winner is coming over for a race this late in the year.

You know, because the Yellow Ribbon is merely a BC prep now that they created the BC FM Turf and the Matriarch, scheduled post-BC, is now rendered moot and irrelevant.

Hey Roll:

Nobody calls Fred a douche bag and gets away with it. Be careful.

Fred only has clout at T-shirt warehouses.

When I'm in the market for powder blue Dickies work pants I'll be nervous (for a lot more reasons than merely the wrath of Freddie).

Mawhip 11-22-2010 07:54 PM

I think you are underestimating him. There's a lot more to Fred than you think.

No...there's less.

Speak to Master MaWhip he will explain that the lead breeder to Empire Maker is Juddemonte and there goal was to breed a ton of grass mares to him. i know you are new around here and struggle with anything that isnt obvious like Group 1 fillies racing the States. Getting back to Empire Maker more then half his first 3 books were grass oriented types. PERIOD.

The best is you used VTreaty what is she like 20

Gate Dancer was one of my favorite horses. Looked like Batman.

Nonetheless, IIRC, he's the only horse in Kentucky Derby history to be DQ'd for interference and he was also DQ'd in the inaugural BC Classic.

Now that's a historic record unlikely to be repeated.

On a positive note, Gate Dancer did set two track records in '83, the first in the Preakness, the other in the Super Derby.

The BCC DQ was bogus though.
