Perfect for Twirling Candy. Now he can actually win by going wire-to-wire.

Of course, if they try and strangle him back, expect a replay of the Big Cap.

Nothing like betting the pass line and don't pass line.

It's remarkable how overrated he has become. Not that he isn't a good horse, but the chances of him winning a competitive race at 1 1/4 are about zero.

Not that is saying all that much(it is 2011) but CLEARLY Twirling Candy is the fastest and classiest horse in training. He has already distinguished himself as capable of winning at Sprint distance beating arguably the best sprinter in the land save himself and 9f's

That's funny, for a lot of reasons, but mostly because he beat Smiling Tiger last year...you know, when he had already proven he wasn't the best sprinter in the land...

Freddy is allowed to flip-flop. No one else.

asudevil 07-07-2011 12:33 PM

First Dude is training extremely well.

Dahoss 07-07-2011 02:50 PM

I'll take Dark Cove at a price in the Hollywood Gold Cup.

hockey2315 07-07-2011 03:00 PM

I was thinking the same thing, Hoss.

I wonder why they've sat on him since the Alysheba. There's been quite a few spots for him since then.

He has a lot of improving to do considering he's the only horse in there from the Big Cap that didn't finish in front of Twirling Candy.

The lack of pace makes me think Baffert might call an audible and send this horse to the lead again to set it up for Game On Dude.

Setsuko.

I haven't looked at the Gold Cup PP's yet - but look who finished 6th in Dark Cove's last race. Yikes.
