He isn't your typical Indian Charlie, in that he lacks brilliance, but he does look like a horse that's going to relish longer distances and he seems to be a high quality runner so far. |

More like an Anthony's Cross, but with much more potential. |
They should use that in his future stallion advertisement.
"Owners, send your mares to Liaison. He was like Anthony's Cross, but with much more potential." |

I think I found my new calling. I could do PR for stallions sired by IC. |

Have they announced his retirement yet? |
For what its worth Im keying him in all multi race bets. No reasson to try beating him.

Baffert seems pretty light on 2yos. The spotty Drill looks to be heading down the same punishing road as Officer for failing to fire in the BC. Secret Circle appears to need a lot of work to harness his speed if he's going to be effective going longer. The Coolmore horse never came around. What happened to Gun Boat? |
Race 5 on the Saturday HP card might have implications for the Malibu in late December at Santa Anita.
Clear, Fast Bullet, and Industry Leader all look to have some talent. Clear murdered decent Cal-bred maidens at Del Mar in his only start. Fast Bullet was well-backed in that Jimmy V. Stakes at CD last week until he was scratched at the gate. Industry Leader came undone over the winter last season at 2, but his first two races were strong and he's working like a freight train for his return. |

Secret Circle is a potential super horse. Cant we give him an excuse for drifting out after dueling 3 way through a sub 21 quarter? Plus he was ridden hard from the gate, its not like the horse took off on the jockey. Im not sure why he was gunned so hard, but he was. 2 back he rated kindly. Its not like we have to say If Secret Circle can rate. Hes already done it. I think Drill has proven he is not much horse, and he likes the synthetic surfaces better, plus he might just be a sprinter. Other then Secret Circle and Liaison Baffert does not have much. All you need is 1 though, and I think Secret Circle might be that good. |

Anyways, your talking in circles now. All I said was that the colt needs some work if he's going to stay a route of ground, as a frontrunning style isn't the ideal type for the Classics. You argue with that, yet admit that he'll likely be on the lead when he stretches out. You say he can rate kindly, and yet no horse apparently can outrun him early. We get it. You like him. A lot of people do. But take the blinkers off. He's far from perfect. |
I think Baffert might have another good 2yr old Sunday in the 5th. Im actually in love.
