An interesting if not eclectic group runners

I like the quote in the DRF write-up on the race where Neil Drysdale explained that he skipped the BC Turf with Bourbon Bay because of concerns with the course at Churchill Downs.

Yeah, I'd be worried about the course, too, if it had horses like St. Nicholas Abbey, Midday, and Sarafina on it.

I guess beating $50k claimer Falcon Rock for the twentieth time will prove that he's a top class turf horse.

He wont beat the 7, so it really wont matter.

The Gradings of turf races in this country need a serious review. The only reason not to do it is that, at least for males, it is basically irrelevent. This field is truly incredible.

Too bad Red Smith winner Grassy wasn't sold a couple of weeks earlier. He could have been an instant Grade 1 winner for his new connections.

Couldn't Shug have shipped out one of his OK turfers to steal this mega field

I'm not disagreeing with you... I'm not suggesting anone who takes heart medication remember to before this very exciting G1.

That said though, I do hope Bourbon Bay wins here.

I know I'm guilty of having a lot of slow favorites (oh be quiet!) but he's pretty consistent as far as hitting the board goes... hope it's his day to shine even if the field ain't exactly stellah!

Good luck to No Stadium in the race before this one. He's the longest shot on the board (m/l is 20/1) for some ridiculous reason...:$:

Nice win by Sanagas. Bourbon Bay ran his heart out and was 2nd. Aaah well.

$5.20 is not much, but I thought even money would be fair vs that group.
