One of my favorites...

Hope he wins. :)

Algorithms popped a splint and is now scratched from the FOY.

Algorithms

Algorithms got injured. Won't run today

RockHardTen1985 02-26-2012 10:53 AM

Javier is tearing that meet up, but I wonder how he feels now?

Saw similar blather on twitter and facebook. Here's an FYI for that insipidness and the rest of the inanity spouting 'karmic forces'. Matt Muzikar and Castellano will have spent about 8 seconds bemoaning the loss of the mount today and then go about their business. They're averaging $15,000,000/year in earnings the last 2 years. You think Castellano is going to have trouble rounding up quality mounts in the Derby Trail stakes with Algorithms out? Good grief. As Jack Wolf said, 'It's horse racing and it's a tough game and you deal with it."

And further, when Michael Matz gives Castellano & Muzikar as many potential successful mounts as the Pletcher barn, let me know.

Indian Charlie 02-26-2012 12:49 PM

I don't think Algoreithms is going to miss much time anyways.

Mike 02-26-2012 12:54 PM

The early comments were that Pletcher ...didn't feel comfortable running him today...

I'm hoping it's more a sign of confidence in Discreet Dancer's chances today. Had Algorithms already shipped in?

It's nothing serious, but Todd just doesn't fell comfortable running him today

Why? Byk already wasted enough effort on him.

I was one of the first ones to say it was a great move by Castellano to choose Algo. Pletcher business is great for ones career. Its an at the moment thing, and you know its gotta sting a little. Im highly against Union Rags today anyway..... But if he wins, Im sure they wont feel great about the decision

RolloTomasi 02-26-2012 02:30 PM

I guess this means that Algorithms is no longer the choice to be this year's Derby favorite scratched within 48 hrs of the race.

He peaked too soon. I would have thought he'd at least make it out of Florida before falling by the wayside.

Whoa.

RockHardTen1985 02-26-2012 04:38 PM

Ok so I have been a Union Rags hater, I lost money trying to beat him today and I just have not really believed in him. All I can say is WOW. Push button around the turn with that burst. If he moves forward off this Im not sure whos beating him.

my miss storm cat 02-26-2012 04:43 PM

Very very impressive!

Congrats too to the Simmard connections. He doesn't win much and I didn't have him in the top spot but always nice to see such a hard-tryer get it right. :)

Simmard was game as they come. Newsdad had several chances to pass him and Simmard kept holding.

I thought the Flower Alley horse from the rail ran a nice race in the FOY.

That horse gets no respect at the windows.

I like him too. Had plenty of early trouble to recover from. Was eager inside & with the blinks. Anxious to hear what Wilkes says.
