Not very often you see a blinker change after running possibly your best race yet. But this is what is happening with Creative Cause. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, just that it will put a bad taste in the mouth of the bettors if he does not win.

Travis Stone 04-04-2012 06:17 PM

At least it's blinkers off. But I hear you. Now is the time to try though.

At least they got Garcia off him.

Jerry Garcia would have given him a better ride last time.

In respect for Masters week............I believe Sergio Garcia would have given him a better ride.

Has anyone noticed that fiddlers Afleet in the 7th is the 9/5 ML favorite but is one of a just a few being offered up for claiming. I like others better anyway but just curious on whether I should ignore this or if it may be a sign that the connections are losing confidence. Thanks.

Without looking at the race or knowing the horses involved, check out the conditions of the race.

It's nice that Bill Spawr had to claim a horse for 16k to use as a rabbit for his Eclipse Award winning sprinter. If he had that big a problem with the track, he could have shipped.

RockHardTen1985 04-07-2012 07:13 AM

I don't really see any problem with it.

"@TTimes Approaching post time for Santa Anita Derby. No, your eyes aren't fooling you. That IS multiple G1 winner Lava Man ponying I'll Have Another"

Huh, cool. :)

Amazing how those Baffert's outrun their odds. Which is even more reason why Liason is not a Derby horse.

Nice win by I'll Have Another.

C.C. is a talented pu c. Should make a big internal move, and, if he stops, so what? Ain't gunna win a stretch fight. So, turn it into a bank robbery.

Didn't he win the San Felipe in a "stretch fight"?

Not really. He should have won that for fun, insteaD he let's a 3rd time runner who was pressed into a hot pace almost re rally and beat him

You're living in a fantasy land. Bodemeister promtped the pace, put away the other speed, and shook clear before being collared at the 1/8th pole by Creative Cause, who immediately went to drifting in and out. That kept a game Bodemeister involved to the 1/16th pole, at which point Creative Cause straightened up and put the "third time runner" away decisively in the span of about 100 yards.

There was no "re-rally" from Bodemeister and Creative Cause certainly never came close to giving up the lead (since he never had it until nearing the wire).

Well, his heart is not that of Jackson Bend's. He needs a horse to get tired. If someone has something left, CC will probably not get it.

Why back off your original opinion because of that ______???

The horse lost one photo. Tough crowd.

I guess he's no better than Easy Goer.

Yeah, it makes more sense to remain silent after getting your head handed to you.

Of course, you invariably put it right back up your a55 anyways, so shame on me for even bothering.
