Marty McGee ‏@DRFMcGee: Just got word that Summer Applause (Chad Brown) has joined the prospective lineup for the BC F-M Sprint. 2nd in 9-furlong Spinster in last.

Marty also reported on ATR that Gary Stevens gets Starship Truffles (M. Wolfson) and that KMc confirmed Dance Card for the F&M SPR as well..

Not a lot of early zip in the F&M Sprint. Wouldn't that be a better spot for Reneesgotzip than the Turf Sprint?

Merlinsky 10-16-2013 09:21 PM

Take Control in the BC Marathon? Interesting. Is he better suited for something like this or is it a Hail Mary?

Not sure what his issues have been. It'd be nice for him to get a stakes win somehow. He's a 6yo though. It's not like suddenly getting a graded win would make him look like the 3 year vacation wasn't sketchy. Love my Azeri babies so I wish him well.

She is being considered for Sprint as well..

I love Gentlemen's Bet's chances off the synthetic loss. He may get ignored on the board.

Anyone know what happened to Let Em Shine?

Hmm....might be tough to find the lead in that spot, where it seems he runs his A race from.

I think it would be appropriate for Alpha to end his career with a last place finish.

Paul..

Checked with SA morning observers. He's 'off' right now and not training.

Thanks. Shame as I think he was really talented. Thanks for checking.

No shock, he ran very poorly last time out, it was inexplicable.

Marty McGee ‏@DRFMcGee: @KPMRacingStable has just tweeted that J. Rosario rides Dance Card in the BC F-M Sprint...

GARY YOUNG'S SPR-FMS-DM-MAR CLOCKER NOTES:

DM-GOLDENCENTS (10/18) 4 furlongs in 46.4, splits of 23.1: This was a good work. Is he good enough? We’ll find out. He’s doing well into the test.

M/DM-FED BIZ (10/21) 5 furlongs in 59.2, splits in 35.2, and a gallop out in 1.12.2: He worked decently but I don’t think he’s good enough to win a tough edition of the Mile, but I can’t knock the work.

S-PRIVATE ZONE (10/17) 4 furlongs in 45.4, splits in 22.2: Worked like a “raped ape” as we say. Caught sight of some Mandella horses in front of him and he caught up to them at the wire. Pedroza was just a passenger the entire way. With a speed horse, you worry in the BC Sprint how much heat he’ll take, but a horse can’t work any better than he worked…especially a horse readying for the Sprint.

S-TRINNIBERG (10/18) 4 furlongs in 46.4: Doesn’t have the smoothest way of traveling and I admire his courage as he’s been a noted warrior throughout his career, but between his last race and this work, he ain’t repeating.

Steve...anything from Gary Young on Holy Lute's bullet work on (10/20)?

Not in the group of notes I received but expect to have Gary on air today at the 8:30 PT/11:30 ET harrow break and will ask.. He's closely associated with the horse.

Thanks Steve

alysheba4 10-22-2013 05:02 PM

wonder if rosario will ride for shug. that horse could fire off the pace in the mile.

Kasept 10-22-2013 09:16 PM

For those that didn't catch Night School with Mike Smith & Gary Stevens, we learned that Stevens will ride the Argentinean Ever Rider in the Marathon. Is the anti-Calidoscopio with a pronounced front-running style. Smith also seems very high on the prospects for another big effort from No Jet Lag in the Mile..

Archive will go up later this evening..
