Hmm, I wonder what would've happened if my horse didn't go to the outside rail.

I hate Pletcher runners in NY who are working at Mth, trying to beat the #5

In my face - talk about the rail opening up :zz:Looked like Danza at OP

pointman 06-21-2014 01:25 PM

What the hell was Jose Ortiz doing on Gem City Gal? He lets the rail open for the favorite, never goes to the whip and doesn't ride his horse in the stretch? That almost looked like a stiff job. :wf

Mth R5:

$2 ex: 4-8 w 2-3-4-6-7-8
(repeat keying #8 on top)
$8 win: 4

Am I the only one that found Ortiz' ride on Gem City Gal suspicious?

He needs to be called in to explain what clearly looked like a stiff job.

I have to watch it again, but he sure drifted into the lane and opened the rail. Maybe he was trying to carry the #8 wide, but Ortiz has got to be aware of the rail runner.

It is not just the drifting and the opening of the rail that makes it suspicious. He never tries to ride the horse, he is just sitting still while the riders of the 5 and 7 are clearly pushing their horses. He never goes to the whip.

I honestly don't believe that many races are fixed, but when I see a complete non-effort by a jock like that it has to be questioned.
