Why is it that odds on favorites only lose when I back them. What a frustrating meet.

I have this joke with friends that I must have the heaviest $2 bets on odds-on horses in the world ... I bet, add twenty pounds.

On a serious note, did Lezcano need to punch through in a 46.4 half mile against this group? Bossy Saratoga crawls home against Woodbine maidens at 6f and handles 7f here without an issue (although the final time was 1:25.32) ... and enters the far turn three wide.

If Sanctify wins here, moving up in company and pulling a back-to-back rolling double for Manny Franco, it will be a sure sign to slowly back away from the keyboard. I do not see any way that this three year old moves into this group and sees the front at any point.

Im alive with the 2nd biggest price in the race. But I was wrong about Sanctify. He ran OK. Still overbet, but he was wide the entire race and never stopped running.
