Only saw him LIVE once - during his Money and Cigarettes tour in '83...

I think that it was during his self-professed alcoholic phase. He didn't seem much into performing, but man he could really pick.

"I've got a rock n' roll heart" was his big song at the time......

Saw him nearly 40 years ago, August 1975, in Shreveport. An excellent performance!

he actually played the Metro, a small club in Boston in the real cocaine era. saw him late 80's play lead all night and played the best stuff. felt lucky to see it. also fell asleep during that acoustic disaster tour in the mid 90's. Last time was 10 years ago when Robert Randolph and the family band "warmed up"...tough act to follow, as his was the 2nd best band that night. that is all
