Epsom/Belmont Friday June 5

EPSOM
Race 1:
#3 Crowley's Law
#2 Bold Lass
#9 Victoria Regina
#8 Odeliz

Race 2:
#13 Elbereth: Progressing sort with 105 lbs...
#9 Dance and Dance: Loves the course. Had blinkers on at Ascot and Doncaster. Run at Newmarket not bad.
#5 Nancy from Nairobi
#10 Burano

Race 3:
#6 Shifting Power
#7 Tullius
#2 Arod
#1 Custom Cut

Race 4:
#12 Gratzie

Race 5 (Investec Oaks):
#3 Crystal Zvezda: Blitzing turn of foot when given clear run to win easily under minor urging.
#11 Together Forever: Just missed on 3yo debut and added ground will help.
#8 Legatissimo
#7 Lady of Dubai

Race 6:
#3 Aces
#4 Ballymore Castle
#8 Secret Brief

BELMONT
Race 1:

#5 Been Here Before
#1 Streehomealabama
#3 Mei Ling
#6 Lady Serena

Race 2:
#2 Lewys Vaporizer: 3yo with upside will be fitter for this.
#5 Awesome Bill: Look for improvement now that Ribaudo has put two works, including a bullet, into him.
#3 Speightster: Mott 4 for 9 with horses trying to win their first two starts with the second in a dirt sprint.
#8 S'maverlous: Never out of the money sprinting. Don't let the tag last out discourage you.
#9 Mr. Romance: Even though he works over it (slowly) he may not care for the KEE surface. Wide open...

Race 3:
#1 Noble and a Beauty
#2 Coco's Wildcat (key place horse, not a fan of her win chances)
#4 Enchantress
#5 Cavorting

Race 4:
#5 Banree: Filly won easily in a big field. Turf work shows Ward had been thinking Ascot. Wasn't cross-entered with the fillies so he must have some confidence.
#1 Cocked and Loaded: Won in a quick time and now in the Rivelli barn.
#4 Cat Tree: Gained much from the debut experience. Deshawn Parker on the big stage.
#7 Uncle Vinny: Scrubbed hard to get going. Wheels back against much tougher.

Race 5:
#9 To Dare: Morley had this one fired up off the shelf with the blinkers but found the 8.5f too far. Back to 7f this time around and has been kept sharp in the morning.
#1 Fortuitous Path: Broke on top but wrangled back five lengths off the pace last out. Set a blistering pace on debut causing the late fade. Hope he doesn't duel my top pick into submission.
#10 Bow Tie Boss
#6 Indian Trail

Race 6:
#4 Chocolatier probably should make it 2 for 2 Stateside but I didn't really like this race. Glad it falls outside of multis.

Race 7:
#8 The Catmancan: Rough start in turf debut. Pace was then a complete detriment but still came with a huge kick to loom at the 1/8th pole before hanging. I know they ran a terrible time but I think he'll also sit closer to the lead and now upgrades from Beato to Lezcano.
#10 Arghad: KMc 0 for 18 (1 ITM) with 3yos debuting on the turf in routes, yet is 2 for 2 with 4yos and up...been burned by him once earlier with a similarly poor stat so I'll turn an eye to that. Bred to route, turf will be fine, and working up a storm. Price will be nice.
#5 Boone Station: Much improved on the grass and held on well considering the quick final fractions. 8f might be pushing it but will be aided by his tactical speed.
#11 Seeking Alpha: Hit the wall after a wide sweeping move into a pace on the swift side. Should push up closer from the wide draw and get first run again.

Race 8:
#8 Rock Fall: Acid test but looks the real deal.
#6 Eastwood
#7 Clearly Now
#4 Tenango

Race 9:
#7 Riposte: Last year's winner seems to run better with a true pace and will get that with the pace-maker of the entry. Rosario rides her best and she'll be the biggest price seen of her this side of the pond.
#1A Stephanie's Kitten
#3 White Rose
#5 Eastern Belle

Race 10:
#11 Reflecting: 3rd in this last year and comes into this renewal in better form. Prado went too quick early at GP yet he still held on well. Got in a solid prep at Pimlico when lacking room.
#9 Manchurian High: Given no hope when a long last through those fractions in the Dixie. Prefers these marathon distances and will get a pace to run at if #5 runs.
#2 Innovation Economy
#5 Red Rifle...if SCR add #6 Artic North

ADJMK 06-05-2015 10:46 AM

Great pick too with #13 Elbereth on top ($53).

ADJMK 06-05-2015 02:12 PM

England , Belmont - Kitan on fire picking the bombs.

Played along and hit the early P4 too. Can't believe the #1 climbed up that high. Also cashed on the 1-10 exacta .
Bankroll for the weekend.

Thanks casp, ADJMK, opusone...for every one of these days there is a handful of poor ones, but these are quite worth it! Hope everyone did well and more of the same tomorrow...
