Enable

If you want a look at a really good filly, check her out tomorrow. She is a dual Oaks winners and just recently crushed older males in the King George.

On paper it's a virtual walkover. Only a single 2017 Group 1 winner, Nezwaah, in there aside from her. That race (the Pretty Polly) already has bad form as runner up Rain Goddess came over here last weekend and tanked in the Beverly D. and the overall record of those coming from there is a pathetic 10-0-1-1.

The field is so paltry that Queen's Trust, who upset Lady Eli in the BC last year, is the second choice despite not being able to hit the board in 3 starts this year, most recently last of 6 behind another streaking 3yo filly in Winter.

Maybe we will get lucky and see Enable and Winter clash ultimately, if the latter stretches out to 12f (she's by Galileo) or if the former drops to a middle distance like 10f. Perhaps the Champion or Prix de l'Opera if Enable opts to skip the Arc.

For those who might like a point of reference, the Ebor Festival has commenced at York Racecourse and Enable runs tomorrow in the Yorkshire Oaks (10:35a ET), against Queens Trust among others.

Happy Like a Fool goes earlier in the Grp 2 Lowther S. (9:25a ET)..

And remember that Lady Aurelia runs Friday in the Nunthorpe..

All will be aired on ATR.

She won with ease as she should have over this field. The horse that ran second to her last time out returned to win the Juddmonte International today so that boosted her last win.

Alabama Stakes 08-24-2017 03:54 PM

She runs with authority she runs fast you could tell she was moving

King Glorious 08-25-2017 10:51 PM

Lady Aurelia was second by a tiny nose in her race.

Rain Goddess came right back from her Beverly D. flop and took a Group 3 in Ireland today.

Aidan O'Brien has really been running his horses in every available spot. Some of his current 2yos have more starts under their belts then some of our classic winners.

I would buy him a beer for that reason alone.

He's not messing around with even his stable stars. British Horse Racing Authority reports that O'Brien is considering running 2000 Guineas winner Churchill right back in the Irish Champion Stakes in 2 weeks. He just ran 2nd four days ago in the Juddmonte International.

As expected, she dominate the Arc and won with ease. Afterwards, Gosden indicated that she might not be retired. She's a very special filly.
