A 1/4/7 trifecta box for $1 would cost you $6. That's because you are really making 6 one dollar tri bets, namely: 1/4/7; 1/7/4; 4/1/7; 4/7/1; 7/1/4 and 7/4/1.

I've rarely dabbled in the super pool - just an experiment. I was surprised that there are the same number of combinations in a super with two on top and four in every slot underneath and there are in the tri. The things that you can learn when you experiment (even at my age:))
