Oaklawn Park was a tough challenge for most of our players. At least three players got skunked
despite making some pretty nice bets. Horseracing is a game where you think you do everything
right and still wind up on the short end of the stick. Two players did figure Oaklawn out and came
home with some points. Zippy had a winning wager but not a profit. Digger hits the board with a
wager on Ryvit in the 9th and a small profit. It would have been enough to win except for a
big hit in the same race by Indian Hemp. IH played the 12-1 morning line Jaxon Traveler to
win and place and when Jaxon managed to nose out Tejano Twist Indian Hemp stormed home
$335 to the good. A very good profit on a short field. Congrats on the win Bart. Nicely played.
