It's a shame... he's got an interesting pedigree and it would have been nice to see what kind of runners he would have gotten here.

That is definitely the first I've heard of a horse standing in the Czech Republic.

Czech racing goes back to the time when it was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (pre WWII). One of my favorite examples of an intensely inbred horse, the 1942 German St. Leger winner Gradivo, stood in Czechoslovakia (as it was then) and became a sire of classic winners.
