As long as his country continues to produce 20% of the worlds oil and natural gas, he will have a leg to stand on and will be forced to reckon with. I think maintaining some kind of friendly relationship will still be in our best interests. A great deal of positives to be had, on our part, by insuring the communication between the two countries remains open.
