I like your thinking, Ruff, but her name doesn't include "verve", but "veuve", which I think comes from the French for widow. The only time I've ever come across the word was on the label of Veuve Cliquot, a popular French Champagne. It got that name when Mr. Cliquot died and his widow took over the winery, thus the reference to the widow Cliquot. That's why I was so curious about the meaning of the name.
