If the game goes extra innings it's trouble...….because:
You use up a lot of your bench players pinch hitting...….uh oh.
Your best relievers are gone at crunch time.
You have a tired bullpen for the rest of the series.....that's a really big one.
So even if you win the game(Brewers tonight)…….how's your bullpen looking the next four games ?...……..especially playing two of those games in the bullpen draining Coors Field.
Even if the game doesn't go extras,you've blasted through how many arms ?
I think sticking with a regular starting pitcher makes more sense.
